Was a great place to stay!! The staff was very friendly and helpful with giving us information about things. Cabins were great. Even though cabins are close by one another when inside can’t hear anyone outside. Was amazing with all the wildlife as well. Really enjoyed staying there.

This is a great tiny house. It has 2 twin beds and a queen, a refrigerator and microwave. The bathhouse is about 50 yards from the door. We enjoyed our stay.

Kevin was great! We got there late but we still was able to find our place smoothly and it was very peaceful. Not a busy time, very clean. We loved the cottages. I paddled with my own paddle board. My kid had the whole pool to herself, and it was very clean. We will definitely be back. We got a Magnet that matched the cottage we stayed in. ♥️✌️⛱️

Its was a perfect getaway at a perfect place. Just make sure to read the whole description cuz there's things ull need to bring but other than that if u can read and know how to prepare its a perfect slice of heaven. Community bathrooms and showers but very clean also. All around for me I will be back. Hopefully many many more times.

Cabin was great. AC was cold, water in bathroom hot, only complaint was bed, it sunk in the middle. We have stayed in other cabins and not experienced this. Beautiful well kept campground and wonderful staff. Will return!

Cabin was adequate for the stay. It could use a few more hooks since there is no closet or drawers for clothes. The refrigerator was a dorm room size and had a large cut in the top. I really think these cabins need refrigerators with a small freezers. Bathroom was fine. Nice shower. Room does not get completely dark. Air conditioning works well.

I have been coming to Hatteras Sands a couple of times a year for at least 5 years now; first in my RV, now in the cabins. Not sure I want to talk it up too much because it's my happy place in Hatteras and I don't want to make it so popular that I can't get in when I want to. The units, grounds, and bathhouse are kept clean, the staff is helpful and friendly, No real shopping nearby - restaurants, places to buy seafood, a small grocery that also sells beer, a bakery, some shops by the ferry - but that's not why I go there, anyhow. The other people there are generally respectful of quiet time; many of them fish while they are there, so they are out early in the morning and in bed early at night. I expect I will continue to stay there for as long as I am able to get there. A+++

My husband & I stayed about 3 or 4 years ago & just went back july 5, 6, 7 2026 . We left on that day instead of the 8 . Casandra has been there a long time, very nice & always had a great experience with her . As far as cabin 10 it wasn’t cleaned at all . Our picnic table wasn’t beside the grill , the next door people on the left I believe took it , it was sitting in front of there cabin . The tiny ants were climbing the walls in the bathroom , the shower the floors & the sink , including when u walked in . The tv had a mind of its own , kept cutting of . The cabins needed to be painted on the outside & the handrails & dorm refrigerator’s needed to be updated . Nothing has been updated since 2024 when we went I believe . It’s on file , second time ! Won’t be going again . Making all that money for the campground , it needs to be taken care of , not when the company / owner feels like it .
