"Impressed with how clean & friendly the staff was"

"Upon arrival, my husband gave me a look that said, “What did you book us” I’m not picky if a hotel is clean, safe, smells good, and the rooms are maintained, I’m happy. With a 7.8 rating, I figured we’d be fine. Check-in was...meh. The lobby was cluttered with boxes and bins, clearly being used as storage. The woman at the desk was polite but overworked—no smile, just business. We got one key on a sticky note and directions to the next building. Driving around, it was clear the property was poorly maintained. Broken or bent window screens, uneven asphalt, and what appeared to be permanent campers gave a rough first impression. Walking toward the side entrance, I joked about the lock—and unsurprisingly, it was broken. The hotel is pet-friendly, and the odor was evident inside. The pool was closed, and what I glimpsed looked dirty and neglected. Hallways were dirty, stairs had ripped carpet creating tripping hazards, and leaves and grass littered the floors. The room itself appeared clean but smelled strongly of bleach, good thing the windows opened. The bed linens seemed fine, but I dared not look under the linens, the bathroom mostly clean but with a stray ball of dog fur and a hanging dirty towel. Missing amenities included a TV remote, hair dryer, and ironing board. A stove was present but non-functional. Despite a quiet night and decent sleep, overall, the property felt poorly maintained, with nice but questionable people walking around. I would not stay here again."

"Our 2 day stay here was rough. The biggest disappointment was the hot tub, which was out of use due to chemical problems. While I know this happens, I had called the day prior to our stay (as I was making the reservation) and the staff lied to me, saying that it was open. (We later learned it had been closed for over a week already.) The pool room was very cold, as was the water. No water fun for a stay that was literally scheduled for water fun. We had a suite (door between 2 sleeping spaces) and the heater in the 2nd room didn't work and kept tripping the breaker. It was FREEZing! The alarm woke us up at 6am (even though we had not set it) and there was tape on the ceiling/walls (left from some party, probably?)"

"My only thing was bathtub is slippery needs bath mat or something I used a hand towel to prevent myself from a fall."

"This was exactly what we needed. Clean, beautiful, centralized location. Quiet, comfortable, and the hot tub was so relaxing. Great place to stay! "

"Really nice stay - the breakfast was fun (breakfast tacos with eggs, plant-based chorizo, salsa bar) and other more typical options (oatmeal, bagels/breads, etc.) Plenty of dairy-free options too if that is important to you. Nearby to lots of restaurant options and easy to get on the interstate."

"Nothing worked: TV turns on but would not go to specific channel, tub drains slower than molasses in January, hair dryer doesn’t turn on, chair was broken, walls were so thin it’s like bad porn audio on autoplay late into the night. I’ve stayed in only one place worse than it. Just when I thought it couldn’t get any worse, breakfast was scheduled at 6:00-9:00 and we got to the dining to find the staff just realized the person didn’t show up to get the items prepared."
