Staff were very friendly and accommodating, there is a room to leave luggage (locked). Room was large and clean with a comfortable huge bed. Breakfast was continental style at first, cereals, toast fruits etc and was happy to supply soya milk. More things available for non vegans like in most hotels. What stood out was that the cooked breakfast was cooked to order so fresh and less waste, plenty of options. I had the vegan english breakfast and it was plentiful, I couldn't finish it.

Staff was very polite and friendly, we felt very welcome, pub and restaurants were cozy and quaint old England style architecture, the rooms were very clean a bit dated and could do with some modernising but what we paid for I dont expect 5 star luxury. We would definitely go back there again

Great Place

Fabulous stay at The Bear. We were welcomed on arrival and checked in quickly. We had our 2 dogs with us. Tim was very welcoming and friendly. We had a really good breakfast on Saturday morning and again was served by a very friendly lady. It was a great stay, thank you and well done The Bear
