About this property
2 Bed in Askrigg (oc-b27667)
Surrounded by drystone walls and fields of green in the background, a stay in this fabulous Stalling Busk cottage invites you to sample quintessential Yorkshire Dales life. Complete with a warming wood burner for the winter and a charming rear garden for the summer, you’ll always love staying in this Wensleydale retreat with your loved ones. The property welcomes four guests and two dogs to stay, an exceptional choice for small families or holiday-making friends. You’ll find endless opportunities for walking or bike riding in the surrounding area, including the vast Pennine Way route that passes through the local town of Hawes (5.5 miles).
Enter the property via a traditional stable door and immediately take in the provincial charm of the place. The lounge and kitchen can be found together in one room, complete with sofas positioned around the wood burner and an equipped kitchen with an abundance of countertop space. Stock up on locally sourced produce on your daily travels and prepare to cook something delicious each evening. There’s space to dine either outside in the sprawling, grassy garden or in the picturesque dining room on the ground floor. Upstairs, find two exceptionally well-proportioned bedrooms, a king-size and a twin, each with unforgettable countryside views. On this floor there is also a refreshing shower room.
Surrounded by exceptional walking territory, you’ll need to plan your excursions wisely to make the most out of all the surrounding beauty. You must find time to see Aysgarth Falls (9 miles), an exceptional waterfall beauty spot that comes to life after rainy days, and Buttertubs Pass (10 miles), an unrivalled vantage point for admiring Yorkshire scenery as far as the eye can see. Staying much closer to home, find Semer Water less than 1 mile away for amazing water sports opportunities or simply a scenic waterside walk.
