Basecamp was one of the most cost-effective places we’ve stayed. While the home is on the smaller side, it is well-stocked and thoughtfully equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The outdoor space was our favorite feature. The property sits on a corner lot with a huge backyard and a shaded front yard, making it a relaxing place to sit and enjoy the surroundings. As pet owners, we greatly appreciate that pets are welcome. If the entire backyard were fully fenced, it would be an even bigger bonus. The neighborhood was wonderful, with exceptionally kind neighbors and excellent walking routes for dogs. There is also a very clean dog park just a few minutes away with separate areas for large/small dogs. The location is conveniently situated between Provo and Park City. The management team was professional, responsive, and accommodating. When we requested an iron, they promptly placed one on the front porch along with an ironing board so they wouldn’t disturb our stay. The AC worked perfectly. One minor observation is that communication is very thorough, which is appreciated, but there are quite a few automated messages regarding trip updates, extensions, early check-ins, late check-outs, and additional services. While helpful, it can feel a bit more like a business transaction than a traditional host experience. That said, the property offers something we truly value: privacy!!! Overall, this was a STELLAR STAY, and we highly recommend Basecamp to others!!!

Our stay at “base camp” was perfect! The host had excellent communication and reached out several times before our stay, checked in during our stay, and helped us tremendously as we were checking out. I asked once about turning a light off in the outside shed so that the kids could sleep and the light switched ended up being in the locked shed. They came and turned it off so discreetly and quickly i don’t even know when they did it! Our puppy was able to come with us and that was a huge blessing! Would recommend for any families heading to Heber! One small tip, if you’re going in the summer make sure to turn the ac lower a couple of hours before bedtime so that the upstairs can cool off! The ac does work great!
