「Hotel was lovely pool was great staff wasn’t the best not really welcoming didn’t explain how to get to rooms and when leaving didn’t ask if we enjoyed was really nice but staff welcome needs to improve booked restaurant starters was best ever but carvery was the worse we ever had the meats was so dry and the staff serving veg on a table spoon was embarrassing we needed to ask for more I did also get overcharged by bar every time we went for drinks the price would go up when I question it i did...

「Lovely property and location. Part of the fun reaching this hotel is the narrow road leading up the mountain/hill.. which has little room for two way traffic. Only bad experience was the loss of water services, our room being the only one that did not come back on line requiring us to move rooms.」

「We regularly eat at The Bear, as we love the food, but this was our first time to stay. The room was beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and the bed was very comfortable. As always, the service in the restaurant was excellent and the food was delicious. Our waiter, Hi-Man was most attentive. 」

Breakfast is continental, but there is a nice variety of cereals and toast and other items. The internet was quite good, by British standards.」

「The Celyn is located in an outstanding rural position. From the moment you arrive Sarah and Paul were very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Our room was good sized, clean with outstanding views over the farm. The sheep and lambs were in the field in front and it was nice to see them. The bed was very comfortable and we slept really well. The cooked breakfast was very high quality and very tasty and worthy of the reviews I had previously read. Overall the Celyn is a credit to Sarah and...

「Room was small/compact. No biscuits on hospitality tray. Have never seen such poor quality toilet paper - small sized sheets of loo paper, too. A hair on the sink. 」

「Clean, good value, parking facilities and a 5 minute walk into the centre of Brecon. It's also a 2 minute walk from the cathedral. Highly recommended」
