- nettes Personal - Das Fernkloof Nature Reserve ist in weniger als 5 Minuten mit dem Auto erreichbar und bietet Wanderrouten für jedes Fitnesslevel mit traumhaften Ausblick. - Der berühmte Cliff Path liegt direkt gegenüber und von dort aus kann man die atemberaubende Landschaft und Natur genießen - Das Frühstück ist vorab auszuwählen, man bekommt aber jederzeit Nachschlag. Es ist richtig lecker und wird liebevoll serviert. - In der gesamten Unterkunft spürt man die Liebe zum Detail- z.B. durch ausgewählte lokale Produkte

Outstanding welcome from the owners. Fabulous location for the Cliff walk which was absolutely stunning. Little touches that made our stay special. Breakfast was amazing and the porridge was delicious! Off road safe parking👍 Our room was beautiful overlooking the mountains with a large veranda. More like a 5 star suite. Gorgeous room scents! Cant recommend highly enough. We loved Hermanus & the Whale on Main❤️

Overall, from our welcome to our farewell, our hosts and their hardworking team made us feel right at home (away from home)! Everything was excellent during our three night stay - the guest house in general, our spacious room, the delicious and abundant breakfasts, the relaxing shared common spaces, the secure grounds, plus the appreciated local knowledgeable assistance we received. Our stay was amazing! We were in and out, staying just one night, but loved our stay at The Whale on Main. Thomas was an amazing host, he walked us through where to go in town and what to see. And as we were leaving, he helped us plan the path we should take to our next destination. He even printed out a map for us that included all the stops! I would absolutely recommend staying here for a wonderful visit to Hermanus.

Warm host, beautiful room, outstanding breakfast!

We had the best time at the Whale on Main! Communication was excellent, we were welcomed so warmly by the host (including a glass of Gluhwein!), and she even upgraded our room at no cost! Fantastic local recommendations, cute little honest bar, great reading options, and an OUTSTANDING breakfast cooked to order! Attention to detail was everywhere and we can't say enough about this place. It was just fantastic! Our only complaint is that we only stayed the one night. Thank you for everything! We will be back!!

Lovely friendly small hotel

The Whale on Main is a beautiful house decorated in a modern style. The balconies had sun lounger or chairs where you could sit and relax. The owner, Tanya was very friendly and was always ready with advice on where to go for activities and recommendations of local restaurants. It was lovely to be able to walk along the cliff path which is just over the road.

Would recommend without hesitation

We were made welcome from the moment we arrived by both our hosts and their staff.Accommodation was clean/tidy and to a high spec.Hosts were happy to offer advice on anything at all.The property is a stones throw from the beaches and wonderful cliff top path.Lovely brekkie.
