  • The California Condor was a common sight along the Columbia River in Lewis and Clark's day. By the early 1980's, there were only twenty-two left on the face of the planet, all in California. Today, thanks to a massive effort to re-populate the species via in-captivity pairing, there are some two-hundred members. But their recovery is far from assured. The Oregon Zoo has undertaken its own recovery effort whose ultimate goal is the re-introduction of the species into the protected wilderness area around the Columbia River Gorge. In short, to bring them home. For now, they live out their days in a vast, outdoor aviary designed specifically to mimic their habitat in the wild. If you have never seen one up close before, I urge you to come take a look. They are larger than any flying bird you will ever see, unless you go to Peru. And though black and white practically from head to toe, their plumage shines and reflects the light like dark, polished metal. If that doesn't suit your fancy, I will tell you that, as with all big birds, if you wait around long enough, they will do something so awe-inspiring that it will take your breath away, and something so goofy that you will laugh out loud. This was a fantastic house for our family reunion. It comfortably accomodated our group of 16. The kitchen was well appointed, beds clean and the game room, pool, extensive outdoor space and beautiful surroundings made this a truly memorable stay! The location is very convenient to Portland. Hosts were very responsive. Highly recommend!

4th of July Vacation

This is the second time we rent the Roloff Farm. we loved it so much the first time that we just had to plan another vacation.we loved the fact that the boys had their own area to hang out at. The girls enjoyed hanging out by the outdoor swing and everyone enjoyed the pool. we loved that the house is fully equipped with everything which helps so we can traveling light.

The grounds are spectacular with so much to do. Our group continues to enjoy the house with 11 beds, spacious kitchen and communal areas, perfect for retreats. The property management company is very responsive and ensures that everything is thoroughly communicated. We won't hesitate to book a 4th stay in the very near future!

The Perfect Retreat

We stayed for 5 days and 4 nights and loved the spaciousness of the grounds and the peaceful setting. ITrip Customer Service was outstanding , very responsive to our texts and accommodated all of our requests. We really felt looked after and cannot wait to return next month! Thanksgiving

We had a wonderful trip to visit our grandchild in the NICU and spent Thanksgiving with our daughter and her husband. The beautiful home was a welcome escape from the hospital. There was so much to do and so many spots to just sit, visit and soak in the beauty. The weather was amazing!

Our 2nd Stay at the beautiful Roloff Farms

This was our 2nd 5day/ 4 night stay at the Farm as we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in June. There is so much to do and the Itrip- property management team was very responsive and helpful. The house is very spacious, the kitchen is well equipped and great for groups, beds are comfortable, enough communal areas for everyone to gather and the grounds are very well maintained. It's super hard to find accommodations in the Portland area for a group of 11 individuals, so we felt very lucky to land the Roloff Farms for our retreat dates!

A very pleasant stay!

We ended up in the Portland area for a few days during spring break & decided to take advantage of staying at the Roloff farmhouse. What a beautiful location! The home was very spacious, clean, & comfortable for our group. We loved the decor! The outdoor area was very well-kept, inviting & peaceful. We enjoyed spending time on the rocking chairs out front as we took in the view of the beautiful farmland. The pool & hot tub werent available for use but we enjoyed the firepit in the evening & listening to the frogs & wildlife. There are plenty of entertainment options as well from game room to books. We loved our stay & would love to return if the opportunity ever comes again.

Beautiful Farm Style Home

Communication with property managers was great from beginning to end very responsive. The property is beautiful and peaceful tucked away from the street and hustle of it all. The space was more than enough throughout the home for everyone to not feel cramped. The games and activities were a great addition.

Very spacious

We booked the location to accommodate a leadership offsite and the house was perfect for it! There are a lot of places to be so it never felt cramped and there was even office spaces for working. It is a beautiful home!

Work and Play

As we work hard and play harder, this place was great. We used this house for offsite retreat for a few executives. They were able to hunker down, get work done and play some games. Lots of space to spread out.

A Fantastic Stay at a Beautiful Property

We had a fantastic stay at this beautiful property! The host was great and the space was perfect for our family and friends to come together and make memories. The property was spacious and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We also really enjoyed learning about the Roloff family and the history of the property. The location was also convenient and made it easy for us to explore the surrounding area. Overall, we had an amazing experience and would definitely recommend this property to others.
