This beautiful, ocean-oriented home was new to the rental market in 2019 (purchased and renovated in 2018). This is a fantastic home which is a just quick bike ride or short walk to the beach (5 minutes by bike or 10 minutes by foot). This home is located at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac and the area behind the house where the pool is located is “green space,” which makes it completely private as you enjoy the large oversized pool (36 x 14). The pool can be heated for an additional charge. The fenced in back yard is an oasis away from home. Everything is on one level!
There is a private trail to the bike path that begins at the end of the driveway and it is only 0.45 of a mile to the beach. The bike path is shaded and cool without the worry of traffic. There is a crosswalk to facilitate crossing S. Sea Pines Drive to access the beach path (this is just around the corner from where Greenwood Drive and S. Sea Pines Drive merge). The beach path is #26 and it is between Surf Scoter and Snowy Egret. This area of Sea Pines is highly sought after for its privacy and location. It is almost equidistant between South Beach (Salty Dog restaurant) and Harbor Town (Crazy Crab restaurant and the Lighthouse).
There is Luxury Vinyl Laminate and tile flooring throughout, along with two sets of living room furniture (2023) and televisions in every room. In the Family Room, there is a 65” flat-screen TV, the Family Room has a 55" flat-screen TV, the Dining Room has a 50” flat-screen TV, the Master Bedroom has a 48" flat-screen TV, the Guest Bedroom with a king has a 43" flat-screen TV, and the Guest Bedrooms with two double beds has a 32” flat-screen TV. Each television has streaming cable (Spectrum) including Premium Movie Channels (HBO, Showtime, TMC, STARZ, and EPIX) along with Roku (Netflix, Amazon, Britbox, Apple+ and Disney+). Free, password-protected, Wi-Fi is available. An Amazon Echo is also available for use in the kitchen and each bedroom. The one in the kitchen can be moved outside (it will run on batteries for up to five hours) and you can request Alexa to play by genre, by decade, Billboard 100's, or a specific artist (for example).
This home comfortably sleeps 8 people. It contains one king bed (master bedroom) along with a desk and a rocking chair, one king bed (2nd bedroom), and two full beds (3rd bedroom). The 2nd and 3rd bedrooms share a full bathroom, and there is a half-bath outside of the Family Room. Each bedroom has a ceiling fan along with a floor box fan. There are two ottomans that open into twin beds (in the Family Room). These have memory foam, so they are not “your mother’s” sleeper, and they are exceedingly comfortable. The Family Room is an ideal “fourth bedroom” with easy access to the half bath.
This home has a comfortable fenced-in patio surrounding the large pool which has ample seating for sunbathing and dining. There are two sets of tables/chairs (6-tops) that are the perfect setting for eating outdoors or drinking a cold beverage while watching the kids in the pool. Also available is a wrought-iron bench, four lounge chairs for sunbathing, and a picnic table (seats six). A Weber gas grill is available with three gas tanks. And if that was not enough, there is a beach cart to haul everything and beach towels (10). But wait, there is also a heater for the pool so you can enjoy it almost year-round with an additional charge of $50/day.
There are two large rooms for family/friends to gather and/or to have some time apart. The Family Room has a large sectional sofa that seats eight, a round table that seats four, and two ergonomic chairs with ottomans. The round table can be used to play games (numerous games are available such as Monopoly, Clue, Life, Dominoes, Scrabble, Rummy Cube, etc.) or work on a puzzle (provided). There is also a card table and four chairs available in the Utility Closet. The pool is just outside the Family Room via a set of French doors.
The Living Room is equally large with seating on two different sofas along with a recliner for seating up to eight people. The Dining Room shares this same oversized space, and the dining table has seating for eight at a counter-top table along with a three-person breakfast table with stools that overlooks the pool.
The fully stocked kitchen is between the Dining Room and the Family Room. There is absolutely everything you would need to cook in this house along with a Keurig, a Mr. Coffee, and a tea kettle to get you started in the morning. The sink and ice maker have filters so no need to run out and buy bottled water or ice and there is a Brita pitcher in the refrigerator. We also have a mini-fridge that will hold all your cans and bottle so that leaves plenty of room for just food in the main refrigerator. The pool is just outside of the Kitchen via sliding doors.
A Washer/Dryer and a Dishwasher are provided along with an iron/ironing board and a clothes steamer. Three hair dryers are available, two lighted make-up mirrors, and three hand mirrors.
Bed linens and bath towels plus a starter set of paper towels, toilet paper, soap, shampoo, laundry detergent, dishwashing liquid, etc.
This house also provides four adult bicycles. We want you to feel at home while you are here so we’ve done everything we can to accommodate that. If you find anything that we don’t have and wish we did, please let us know and we’ll do our best to have it available for your next visit.
Sea Pines is a gated community, so there is a weekly car fee of $22. You pay for that when you enter the community and it will allow you to come and go during your stay.

• Wi-Fi high-speed 2.4GHz and 5.0GHz. 400 Mbps. The primary differences between the 2.4GHz and 5GHz signals are speed and range.
• A 2.4GHz Wi-Fi signal provides internet to a larger area but sacrifices speed, while the 5GHz band provides faster speeds to a smaller area.
HEATING OF THE POOL/SPA: As long as the temperature is above 50, there should be no issue keeping the water temperature above the 80's, but if the temperature drops below 50, the pool can lose 5 degrees overnight. Below 50, the pool heater cannot properly heat due to the cooler ambient temperature. We do not typically have a problem March-October (November-February can be more troublesome), but the weather will do what the weather will do. IF temperatures drop below 50, the heater can only do so much. If it is too cold, since we have no control of the weather, the heater will still be running and doing its best to heat. Because of that, we will not give a refund or discount. When the temperature is 50 and above, the heater will typically keep the water 30 degrees warmer than the air.
