Review

Overall, everything was great. The pots/pans could use to be updated. There was a broken piece of fan laying on the deck. The ceiling fan in the living room needs to be repaired. The dishwasher was really loud, had to choose time to run it to minimize disruption. Having to bring my own sheets and towels to avoid extra costs, was not ideal. (Especially for number of beds). The house was beautiful and perfect location. The outdoor furniture was really nice to enjoy the views. We enjoyed the corn hole set for family game time.

Location Great! House Dated

The location of the house was awesome. Proximity to beach was nice and the neighborhood was quiet. The house overall was dated. Needs new appliances and less furniture in the living room. Bedrooms were nice, bathrooms adequate. And the cleaning staff needs to up their game.

Everything we expected

Really nice house, perfect location, super convenient to the beach, and a short drive to all the shops in town. Hot tub was great. The grill could stand to be updated and the outdoor shower could use a little attention. But those are minor quibbles. We’ll definitely look here first next time we visit.

Super nice and close to the beach!!

The walk to the beach was so short and amazing! The neighborhood was super nice. There were a lot of food places and shops near the house! The beach wasn’t super busy which was nice. Other than on Labor Day, the beach was pretty much empty! I was hoping the shark tooth hunting at this beach would’ve been better, but we did find a few shark teeth!! But the house was super cozy, and nice. We did see a few bugs in the house, but it was not bad at all. They had a bunch of books and games at the house which was super nice! The biggest downside of the house was that the second level deck (which two of the bedrooms lead out to) has a pretty large active wasp nest. So we didn’t really go out on the deck! But other than that We would definitely stay there again! We loved it!

Never Again

The location was great. The house not so much. There were chips in the floor, the living room ceiling is about to fall in, a window in one of the bedrooms leaks, etc. Three different maintenance people showed up during our stay. Emails from the reality company came a day or more late.

Beautiful vacation home

This vacation home was perfect. Very short walk to the beach. We had a very relaxing week with no problems. The house was very clean.

Overall, a winner!

This house was a great size and layout for a large family! Just a short walk from a beach access, this house in a good location and neighborhood. Amenities were found as listed, except the elevator had quit working a couple of weeks before our trip. Normally, this wouldn't have bothered me, but had been having orthopedic issues with my foot and knee and because this house is reverse floorplan, the kitchen and living area are on the top floor. So, if you have older members of the family it's gonna be a rough week! As I understood the realtor, the owners aren't repairing but taking it completely out. Overall, a clean unit, but did feel the need to disinfect common surfaces and rewash pots and pans.

Easy Quick Getaway

Great home

The property was nice and clean. Close to the beach and other amenities. Plenty of space. Comfortable sleeping arrangements. I like that there are 3 bathrooms and of course the HOT TUB was awesome! The only thing, and I didn't mark down bc it was noted and is only a suggestion....I wish they would put that there are no linens, towels, etc. in BIG BOLD print. It was stated, but easily overlooked. I usually rent through AirBnB and that's always included so for someone who is not familiar with other rental companies, I skimmed this info.

Wonderful Stay

This property was wonderful. The beach house was clean. We were able to get early check in, which was fabulous, since we were only doing a quick 2 day trip from Wilmington. The hot tub was a wonderful feature, we will definitely be returning.

Beautiful Home & Great Location

We really enjoyed our most recent stay at this house. The beach is in walking distance and we were not far from restaurants & grocery stores. The only reason why I did not give it a 5 star rating is the lack of communication between the homeowner and property management company. There were folks working on the house all weekend, which kind of impeded on our weekend. We did get some money back though, which I appreciated.

Perfect spot

We loved this place it seemed to have everything we needed including the left over beach toys. It was very close to the beach. Plenty of space for our group of 8 people. 3 adult moms, two older teens and 3 elementary age kids.

Great House and Amenities

The Good: Overall, this house is really nice and spacious. and well-cared for. If you have older folks with you who don't do stairs well, the Beach Butler elevator lift was a great addition for our trip. Distance to the beach was as-advertised and not too bad a walk. Room sizes are really good and beds were comfy. Even though the Murphy bed is a queen, its a cheap mattress and not a very good bed for people with sensitive backs. It would have been much better to have the King bed in this room since it had a dedicated bathroom. But it all worked out. Though we didn't use any of it, the house had plenty of beach play items and a corn hole set. It was a nice touch. Kitchen was very well stocked with anything and everything we needed. Living room furniture was plentiful and able to provide a seating area for everyone in the evenings. Air conditioning worked very well and no issues with that. The Bad: Lower floor walk in foyer area where the beach gear is located had a number of pesky cockroaches roaming around. I recall seeing a previous review on the house and had mentioned the roach issues. To be fair, there were no incidents inside the upper floors/bedrooms/kitchen area. Only in the first floor walk in area. 3 of the bedroom windows that have walk out decks face directly into the sun in the mornings, and the curtains hardly contain light or heat. The morning room temps were almost unbearable and would heat up like a furnace even with the AC cranked. Would be so much more efficient if the owners put in Blackout curtains to curtail the light and heat. I say this so you are prepared to be awakened at 7am with blinding light and heat. Communications with the realty company was not too bad and efficient. My biggest complaint was the unreasonable adjustment of check-in and check out times. The claim here is that COVID-19 cleaning practices are in place and they need more time to do extra items. However, I happened to stumble up on the cleaning crew just prior to them finishing and I asked about their new COVID cleaning processes, and I received a blank stare. I was also told that the hot tub was drained and filled for every weekly client. I found that this was not the case as there was lots of sand on the bottom of the hot tub and the 1 time we used it, it had a foamy goo of sunscreen and funk. So I don't think this was actually the case. Overall, the place was a fun stay and I would certainly not hesitate to rent this place again.
