Fresh seafood can be purchased on a daily basis from the local fishermen who bring their hauls in and sell them at the market 3 miles away. Walk for miles in either direction on the beach. Look for prehistoric sharks' teeth and shells. The sound is just a walk away and provides amazing sunset panoramas.
The towns of Wrightsville Beach and Wilmington( international airport) are less than an hour away.
