Great New Year break!
Lovely stay for New Year, friendly locals, great Nook beer and drinks selection, though could be cheaper. Above all the staff are a credit to this place, absolutely superb. Half hour walk downhill into Holmefirth and £6.50 in a cab back up the hill if you don’t fancy the Walk. Above the kitchen so Radio could be heard, not an issue for us but may be for light , early sleepers in Holme Moss. Could have done with the room being service during 4 nights but not a deal breaker and any requests were met with smiles and efficiency Would definately stay again

Lovely rural retreat.
The room was lovely, the food was lovely, the hospitality was friendly & welcoming. Perfect location & only 5 minutes drive Holmfirth town centre. Certainly stay there again.?

Great stay.
Booked a last minute stay and dinner at The Boshaw Trout as in Holmfirth for a concert. The staff were very friendly and helpful, Sunday dinner was lovely and good value, plenty of meat and a variety of veg. Rooms were of a high standard for decor, furnishings and cleanliness. Comfy bed, pity we had to leave early in the morning and miss breakfast.

There is a Conundrum!
Let me start by saying location was not ideal for my trip! There are two lasting memories of my experience the people were warm, kind, interested and hospitable. Jess, Lilley, Rob, Issy, Sheila, Ethan and a chef who I am guilty of not asking you truly made the stay. Oh, did I mention the location not being ideal for my trip....it was idyllic. The view from my window will live with me and give my next trip another choice challenge. The general area was full of surprises to decompress after tough day's. Otherwise the room was clean and well presented and the food on site was of a high quality and hearty.
What do you mean I have to leave the bed and go to work....of all the cheek.

Lovely overnight stay
Had a lovely overnight stay here to explore the area around Holmfirth. Staff were lovely. Great breakfast. Nice clean room. Nice beer too.

Fuss-free, top class Yorkshire service!
I had previously stayed at the Boshaw a couple of months prior to this stay and was looking forward to eating at the pub and pint or two. I was disappointed to find that, prior to my arrival but after booking, the pub was closed on Tuesdays. This would mean a drive into Homfirth (there is nothing around) to get food, not ideal. When I mentioned this to Ian (the proprietor), he offered me the alternative of staying at their sister pub in Holmfirth - he even drove down with me following to ensure I knew where to go and got a parking space. Service doesnt get much better than that!

Practically perfect
My wife and I stayed here on a bit of a whim seeking a break, and had a wonderful stay. The room was spacious, beautifully decorated and absolutely immaculate. The staff were so friendly and lovely, they really made us feel welcomed and as though nothing was too much trouble. Dinner that evening and breakfast the next day were both fantastic, the beer selection on offer great, and the atmosphere of the pub cosy and inviting. If I had to nitpick, there was a little intrusive road noise first thing in the morning (but perfectly quiet over night), but otherwise was just brilliant. We'll definitely return!

Very warm welcome, food was amazing, lovely room but could have done with a set of drawers to put your wash bag etc on, and black out curtains as when the light on a sensor out side came on it lit the room up. Would definitely stay here again.
