"Very clean room and property. We wished the breakfast buffet had opened at 7am instead of 8am. The quality of the breakfast could be better. We did not pick up the "free gift" because we didn't want to hear the timeshare sales pitch. We enjoyed the beautiful pool area."

"Wow! Fully equipped kitchen, 2 full bathrooms, living room, dining room, great bedroom with king sized bed, great little bar / club / restaurant with live entertainment. Friendly staff. Great location. We could have stayed there forever!"

"My husband was unexpectedly unable to join me on the trip. But my cousin came along instead. When I explained what happened, they helpfully changed my king room to a double queen. This is my second trip to the Fairmont Orchid. The beach and pool are lovely. The food is fabulous. The grounds are immaculate. The outdoor spa can't be beat with the sound of the running water. I had picked the Orchid originally because I wanted a place my husband would enjoy while I was off scuba diving. With my cousin with me (who also dives), I sometimes wished we were closer to the harbor. But, the Orchid really can't be beat for a beautiful spot to enjoy (and it is close to some of the lovely state beaches to the north -- not that you need to go to them given the lovely cove with drinks service!!) Oh! And if you happen to be there on a "talk story" weekend at the nearby Eva Parker Woods Cottage, you should go!"

"Nice hotel EXCEPT my resort view room looked over a large rooftop of gravel. Not the view in the website pictures. Busy location with shops and places to eat. Good on-site breakfast buffet with lots of choices. Asked for late checkout but didn't get it. Had to ask for temporary passes to use resort while waiting for evening flight and was given a wrist band for pool but not able to use a bathroom with it??? That was very inconvenient. Something about a system upgrade which was supposed to be seamless. Too bad it wasn't. Front desk staff just okay."
