Great concept that just didn't make the cut

While the property, in general has so much potential, the upkeep of the home dropped my rating to a 3star and definitely NOT worth the amount of money I paid for our stay. 1. The kitchen floor is warped from water exposure and seeps thru the floor tiles leaving feet wet, floor gross and a big safety hazard. Under the sink STUNK from the water damage as well. this is not NEW. I did communicate w/ owner, a handyman did come out, but the water damage is far gone. 2. we arrived at 4pm, cleaning people were still cleaning until 4:45pm. Not fun, but we got over it and moved on.3. No pool sun shades as described in listing photos. Understood they were damaged by a storm, but not fun for us trying not to bake in the Texas heat.4. the propane BBQ pit did not work, understand that the prior tenant broke it and a SMALL charcoal grill was placed next to it, BUT another thing I would like to have known prior to arriving.5. Every chair in the living room is broken in some way. Arms fall off, seats fall over, table wheels fly off. My husband was a victim to one chair, thankfully he was fine, but if he had not been this would be an entirely different story line. 6. They state the house is "sanitized and cleaned" prior to every new tenant, and we pay a large amount of for this. The house was kinda cleaned...not at all sanitized. we found underwear in the couches, dirty linens, tables and counters. I washed my sheets before I got in bed as did all my grandkids.
