“We loved everything about the property and the house was great. So many fun things for the kids to do as well as horses right outside! The view was incredible. The house was clean and had anything we could think we would need. We were not ready to leave.”

“The view from Stekkar is breathtaking! Farmland below, lots of horses and sheep, river, church, skyline of glacial mountains where the sun sets. We really enjoyed being in the countryside, relaxing environment.Enjoyed the hot tub multiple times. Beds were comfy, kitchen adequately stocked. “Terrific stay, and a wonderful home base for a couple of nights within the Golden Circle area. We loved being based here and then being able to go out in the evening to visit sites like Gullfoss and the Geysir area (just 45 mins away) when they were not crowded. The place itself is modern, spacious, and very well kept. Loved the outdoor grill, hot tub, and comfortable beds. In our view, this was far better than staying at a hotel.”

“We enjoyed this property for our 2 night stay. The rental unit looks brand new and is furnished very well. It was probably the largest and nicest rental units we stayed in for our entire two week trip. It was nice to have the space! The only downside to this property is that it was out in the country, away from everything. So grab what you need before retiring for the evening. “We were able to tour both the national park and the southern coast conveniently without having to move between lodgings. The cabin is pretty new, has a nice view of the mountains, and a hot tub and grill on a pretty deck (though the midges require a head net that the host graciously provided for us). The kitchenette was adequate for us since we weren’t cooking anything more than breakfast. The upstairs bedroom with twin beds would be a great spot for a couple of kids who find it fun to climb up……

“This was the last night in Iceland after camper vanning it all week. And, i must say it was an experience. The drive there, the surrounding area, and the beautiful view from the top was phenomenal! The room was very clean and modern feeling. I felt like a James Bond villian in my tower. We got lucky and were the only people there, so we had the tower to ourselves. I highly recommend this stay for a unique night with amazing views!! ”

A real bad dream checking in this guesthouse

"The property was worn on the outlook, seems being deserted for a long time. There was no hot water in the room and there was no heater in the communal washroom and communal shower! There was no shampoo and shower gel provided in the shower. There was no hairdryer in the room, not to mention any lotions or cups for brushing teeth!! The bedding seemed soiled and not changed for a long time , and have some hair on the bedsheet! This is a properly not suitable to be rented out! It should rather be demolished or totally renovated before any more bookings made! "
