We were overbooked

We were overbooked for a wedding. We booked many months ago, and the bride even called to confirm. I also spoke with someone a week prior and there was no indication of an issue. A day before the wedding and check in, I got a call that we had been over booked. The woman who called really tried to be accommodating by offering a refund and to put us up in a cottage up the road. We didn’t have much choice as we were coming from out of town… unfortunately the new cottage was not as close or convenient as described and I still haven’t been issued a refund. We did visit friends who got to stay at anchorage and it looked really nice, we wish we had the chance to stay!
