Spring Break Vacay with the Pups

Point of view is right! Amazing views from the deck areas and from the living room. We all (2 adults and 2 Goldens) enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back.

Gorgeous views

We had a fantastic stay at Out Point of View. Plenty of room for our family of 5 and our 2 dogs. We enjoyed the ping pong table and the hot tub. The views from the top porch were amazing. We all enjoyed swimming from the dock. We would love to stay again in the future.

The View is one of the best on the Lake with a wall of windows to enjoy it. The floorplan is well-designed with plenty of outdoor seating.

A birthday stay

My wife was celebrating her birthday and we invited a couple of family members to enjoy a quiet vacation with us. The home was perfect for what we needed and offered a great view, spacious accommodations, and peace and quiet.

A Wonderful Retreat

The view from the grand room is just wonderful. The lake is pristine - not an exaggeration. The property is super clean, all feature descriptions are accurate and the owner is very responsive. This was our first visit to Smith Mountain Lake - a real jewel. I hope to come back.

Fantastic Property

Spent a week here with my husband and two dogs. Beautiful views, peaceful house/property. Only word of caution would be the stair climb from the water/boat dock to the main floor of the home (there are a lot). All in all, great place to stay.

A million dollar view (plus!)

We loved the view and the stairway down to the water was a perfect setting for our youngest son's high school graduation ceremony. The hot tub was a nice touch for all to enjoy. The house was very clean and comfortable and was excellent for our four adult children to have their own space (and us, too!) We will stay here again if ever in the area. We highly recommend this property!!!

Well-appointed home with a wonderful view

Comfort is priority in this home with enough seating for all guests in both indoor gathering areas and on multiple decks. Kitchen has everything you need (except a good corkscrew 🤣), beds are comfy and steps to the water are interspersed with pathways to ease the walk down the steep hillside. As posted photos show, the view is beautiful. A rental boat is a must!

Spring Break at the Lake

My family (myself, husband, &17 & 20yr old sons) loved staying here for our low key spring break! The house was gorgeous and had tons of room, the view was stunning, beds were comfy, hot tub buttons worked, pool table was awesome, great collection of dvds/books/puzzles/games. Sound travels throughout the house and outdoor area-makes it easy to feel connected! Would love to return when we can jump in the lake…without cold plunging…which was fun, too!

The place was beautiful and the view was spectacular. The only recommendations would be to get new pots and pans and some coffee cups. The pots were old and only one real coffee cup. On the dock, the top part of the dock (metal pole) was pulling away from the anchor. We do have pictures if needed.

Late Spring Mini Vaca

The view is definitely the selling point of this house! It is awesome! The house is spacious, but showing its age. The outside could use a good power washing and paint touch ups. Would had been nice if the deck was swept. Found a few dirty kitchen items and the cabinets could use some TLC. The mailbox with house numbers also needs a refresh; we ended up driving past the house a few times because the numbers were faded and dirty.

Quiet and private spot right on the lake

We came off season (late Nov), so it was very quiet. All the decks still provided a sense of privacy as there are mature trees on both sides of the property and no houses across the lake. Super quiet and private location. The house was huge! We really enjoyed the hot tub and ping pong table. Kitchen had everything we needed for cooking breakfast and dinner each day. Unfortunately we never figured out how to log into our own accounts for Netflix or Prime...ended up watching our favorite show on an iPad instead of one of the many TVs. Minor inconvenience. It was wonderful stay overall! I can imagine how great it would be to visit in summer.

Plenty of room for multiple activities and entertainment.

This place was pretty awesome. Rooms were very open and never made us feel cramped or uncomfortable. Pool table and Ping Pong were some of the stars of the show... Let's not forget the hot tub as well.... All and all thus was one of my favorite get away spots.... I play acoustic guitar and the natural reverb this place has is top notch 👌... No complaints from my friends either.... Even my little Yorkie loved the place... He's usually a nervous wreck when it comes to new places, but I feel like the open view of the world around helped him out (so many windows!!) So in a nutshell... The place was great and if you're looking for an open getaway, this is the place.

Beautiful location

Had a great stay at this beautiful home. Brought my wife down for her birthday the views from the home are fantastic. Love using the fire place all weekend. Great lot private even in the winter with no leaves. Love the large open floor plan the massive ceilings and covered decks. They don’t build homes like this anymore. Great stay hopefully we can come back next year and bring the kids and dog. Just a note I would update the pots and pans they are in bad shape and get more silverware. It was fine for me and my wife we just used the one cast iron pan for all our meals. But if we had our kids with us we would have run out of silverware in 15 minutes. It was a great stay though can’t wait to come back again
