"Our checkin was the worst experience we’ve ever had checking into a hotel! I emailed more than once to receive an access code for parking and we phoned them the day of but no one answered and I never received an answer to my emails. As a result we could not enter the Mont St Michel area and had to walk to the hotel from our car and back - a 40 minute walk!! Checkin was slow and laborious as there were only 2 people behind the desk but one was a trainee who had to ask her co-worker the answer to every question we had. This co- worker had to finish with her customer before answering the trainee so it was painful and long to say the least! There is no thermostat in the rooms so our only option for cooling off at night was opening the unscreened door. The bathroom had lots of black hairs on the floor and beside the sink! The caulking was peeling offf and the bathroom was generally in need of a re-do! The only saving grace was the gorgeous view of Mont St Michel out of the floor-to-ceiling windows which are the entire width of the room with a spacious deck. That view was everything and nothing to do with Le Relais’ efforts. This hotel is totally relying on this view to ride out a cash grab!"

"This was a charming hotel just outside of Mont St Michel. Easy driving distance to the parking area to catch the free bus. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good and we drove into the little town for supper. We’re treated to a surprising show in the morning, a herd of sheep being moved to a pasture right outside our window…could have reached out and touched them. Beautiful view of Le Mont St Michel in the distance."
