「I arrived late and found the reception was closed. I kept knocking the door for 15min until the receptionist noticed me while she was drinking with her friend in the shop nearby.
I was given a room with bed of 3 legs only. It couldn’t even stand on the floor. The mattress, bed sheet, blanket, and towels were used and placed on the floor with strong smell. I reached out to the receptionist to change for another room.
The other room was also smelly and dirty. But at least it got a bed that...

「We spent 3 days in the "cowshed" room at Le Bois Gautier. The accommodation was very spacious with a full kitchen and a large bedroom and bathroom upstairs.
We received a warm welcome from the new owner Bill who had prepared a log fire for our arrival, this made the accommodation very cosy and was a great touch. Bill had also brought some snacks/breakfast for us.
The place was gorgeous, and very quiet, being in the middle of the countryside. It is located about 30 min drive from the scenic town...

「We had the hotel to ourselves for the 2 nights we stayed at L’Ermitage, so our experience was extra special and the service incredibly intimate. Other travelers shouldn’t reasonably expect the same level of service, but you can rest assured that you will be well cared for and comfortable. My only caveat is the WiFi. 「A beautiful place to stay for anyone visiting Mont St Michel! Christophe warmly greeted us upon arrival and showed us to our thoughtfully prepared room, which included phone chargers and cold drinking water. He gave us some excellent recommendations about the local area. Christophe prepared a delicious and generous breakfast for us in the morning. We felt right at home at his accommodation! Christophe was a fantastic host and we will recommend this place to anyone going to Mont St Michel. 」
