Chalet Forêt is a beautifully renovated 4-season chalet that sits amongst the tall pine trees overlooking Penn Lake in Hidden Valley, Huntsville, Ontario Canada. Walking distance to private beach and Hidden Valley Ski Resort and a short drive to Arrowhead Provincial Park, golfing, shopping, dining and so much more! Everything you could possibly want for an unforgettable Muskoka getaway!

Perfect location from all the place we visited. Best equipped place we have EVER stayed at. Clean, quite with parking. Would rate above 10 out of 10. Communications could not have been better.

Beautiful Getaway in the Trees!

The cottage was gorgeous!! All new finishes, beautiful decor and very clean and tidy. The big picture windows looked out into the trees, it was like being in a tree house! We cooked thanksgiving dinner there and the kitchen had absolutely everything we needed, very well stocked. The 20 somethings really enjoyed the pool table and everyone loved sitting on the back deck with a drink, enjoying the beautiful view. There was a great fire pit but we ran out of time to use it. The host left thoughtful gift baskets for everyone. We had an unforgettable time, we will definitely be back!

A wonderful visit

We came with my two young adult sons for a couple of days of hiking in Algonquin and what a treat to stay in Chalet Foret. It was luxury after the trails to soak in the tub and prepare our dinner in the awesome kitchen. The only issue I had was I am of shorter stature and found the chairs and sofa a bit uncomfortable unless I wanted to lay down. My sons already want to come back next year and I would be happy to stay there again.

Gateway to Algonquin

We've been renting VRBO's for many years & this is one of the best! The attention to details are amazing. We loved the thoughtful touches like umbrellas, labelled light fixtures, coffee, tea and baking supplies (just to name a few). The house is beautiful and was a great space for watching movies and playing games with the family. Hidden Valley is a gorgeous location with easy access to Huntsville and Algonquin Park. Thanks for the wonderful stay.

What an amazing little property, such detail was put into everything. Anything we needed, they had. The place was beautiful, all new appliances.. made it very easy for me to cook! It was a great weekend getaway, definitely worth the money.

A place for the whole family

My whole family had the most wonderful time staying at this beautiful chalet. It was stylish, clean, and had everything we needed to make the weekend enjoyable. We especially loved the games room that included a pool table, darts and many board games. The kitchen had everything needed to feel right at home, and each bedroom felt welcoming and cozy. The location could not have been better, and Kellie, our host, was so easy to get a hold of and very accommodating. Everyone, from child to adult, loved the experience! Would highly recommend.

Amazing Chalet and Stay!

My family and I (siblings) spent the weekend here as a little retreat away from the city life and it did not disappoint! The chalet itself is beautiful and spacious. There were many details about the chalet that were an added touch, such as the baskets with toiletries and coffee pods. We enjoyed use of the fire pit at night, as well as the residential beach which is about a 10 minute walk from the chalet. Thank you so much for the weekend, Kellie!

Amazing place and people.

Kellie is fantastic to deal with. So responsive and informative. Never had the pleasure to deal with Dave. This cottage is fantastic. Beautiful property, location and comfort. We all loved it. And she does a great job having everything you need. If you forget anything, the odds are it is there. Highly recommend it to anyone as the best one in the area to stay at. Would definitely stay here again. Kids loved the sleeping arrangements and the pool table and games room. No issues at all. Dave

Had a lovely family getaway including the grandkids.

Very well equiped chalet with a beautiful view of the lake and easy walk to the slopes. Our grandson was on skis for the first time. The youngest grandson was on skates for the first time. We had wonderful family dinners together. Enjoyed tobogganing and hiking at Arrowhead and browsing the shops on Main Street as well! Great to walk around the neighbourhood in the evenings! A really lovely holiday!

Beautiful Chalet in Hidden Valley!!

It was a beautiful, comfortable, cozy and well-stocked chalet. The hosts were extremely nice, and easy to communicate with. Any questions were answered quickly. The chalet is extremely comfortable. It offered an easy way to disconnect from our phones and spend some quality time together. The games room offered pool, chess, and a bunch of board games suitable for the whole family! The huge tub was amazing, and I made sure to get the kids outside so my wife could have an uninterrupted soak. We were visited by a deer early in the morning and the large rear windows were perfect for watching the beautiful sunrise over the lake. All in all, it was a perfect mix of modern amenities and quiet solitude. Even with the other cottages in the area, outside in the yard was peaceful and serene! Hopefully we'll be able to make it back next year!

Fun property, excellent vacation experience

Property is well equipped, as described, with a responsive and friendly host. All relevant information was provided ahead of time which is nice. Our family including my niece and nephew had an excellent vacation here. We loved the fire pit outside.
