Plenty of linens and cooking utensils. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I do not recommend staying there if you have balance and walking issues. The house is beautiful and transports you back in time. Love the western theme. The hot tub would’ve been greatly appreciated after our travel from Fla.

Peaceful and beautiful place to stay

This is most likely the best place we have ever stayed as far as cleanliness and being stocked! The backyard was so peaceful and relaxing. So close to everything in town and the bearkat golf course. The hosts are amazing at communicating. I want to stay here again!!!

Huntsville Project

Myself and 3 coworkers came to town to complete a small remodeling project. The house was perfect. We were able to grill steaks in the evening and the coffee maker worked nice in the morning. We were also able to pack light and use the washer/dryer on site to freshen up our clothes. Also, the house had a lot of character and it felt like home. I would definitely rent this house on another visit to Huntsville!

Hometown TEXAS-

This comfy country haven is cozy, warm and inviting. A hidden gem with unique history, character and charm. We thoroughly enjoyed the record collection, local historic photos, and unique antiques throughout. Every amenity you could dream for was provided. Extremely clean, and well stocked with essentials and extras. The builder of this home, Dan Phillips was an amazing guy that found creativity in building with recycled items. It was GREAT to read about his story. I would love to have a walking tour of all the homes he.built in Huntsville. Hoping to stay here again when we return to Huntsville!

Next Level VRBO Rental!! You will LOVE your stay!

These are literally next level property owners. Everything, and I do mean EVERYTHING, is prepped, ready and thought completely through. The history of the home’s construction, the attention to detail in the design, the amazing decor, the signing/instructions for how to use/operate everything… it is unmatched. The beds are legit and even have a comfy topper, the amenities in the bathrooms and kitchen are superb. Easy walk to a couple of bars/restaurants in town. Hands down, you won’t regret staying at any one of the properties in town owned by this family. Book now!

Three Day Huntsville Stay

This past year I started working in Huntsville and commute daily from the Spring/Klein/Tomball area. A few months back, my wife and I planned a Saturday night outing with some coworkers to see a show at the Old Town Theatre. In order to circumvent a late night drive home, we decided to make a weekend out of the occasion and booked the Cedar House for Friday and Saturday nights. We chose the Cedar House for it's close location to the Town Square as well as the Theatre. In the mean time, I had a work related fundraiser/banquet come up in which I needed to attend on Thursday evening in Huntsville. My wife and I thought it would be nice to stay Thursday night as well so I reached out to Joe to see if it was available and if so, could the additional night be added. I promptly got a response back that it was available and no problem to add. The Cedar House as well as the Owner far exceeded our expectations. The House is very eclectic and immaculate from a cleanliness standpoint. We will definitely be back for another stay.!!

Huntsville Getaway

We flew in from Ohio to go to our son’s Ring Ceremony at SHSU. The owners asked what time we would be arriving and were kind to leave lights on for us outside and inside. They left baked goods from a local cafe and the house itself was stocked with things most vacation rentals do not provide. Loved the location and walked to a local restaurant for lunch. Would definitely recommend this home!

Our stay at the sensational cedar cabin was perfect. We loved the sustainability, functionality and funkiness. Mid-century modern meets Texas, yeehaw! The story behind the builder is inspirational. Unique Art House (TX Cedar House)

This unique home is a property everyone needs to experience at least once while visiting Huntsville, TX. The property is a “sleeper”. The curb appeal is completely different than the inside of the home. The owners provide everything minus food and beverages. The home is impeccably clean and detailed. One bedroom on the ground floor with a bathroom living area and stocked kitchen. While ascending upstairs, the stairwell is equipped with lights that turn on once a sensor is passed. Two bedrooms upstairs with one bathroom. Many remotes for lights and fans too. TVs in alll bedrooms and the living area. The home appears to be constructed with select salvaged or recycled materials with nostalgic appliances. All bathrooms are well stocked and include spare toothbrushes if you forgot yours. The home is cool with many fans and an AC system. This home is a must see and stay. We will return if we ever revisit Huntsville. TYVM for the opportunity to visit this home.

Cool house and better hosts

We stayed at cedarhousetx for my daughter’s SHSU graduation. The house was the perfect size for our 4 adults. Everything is current. The house has an older vibe, but with all the latest and best tech. The bathtub is incredible, it may be worth a trip to Huntsville just for the claw foot tub. Lots of deck area for entertaining, and it has an immaculately cared for propane grill. There is a turntable with some vinyl records available to help set the mood. The hosts were beyond accommodating, and responded to question almost instantly. This was by far our most carefree trip via VRBO.

Wonderfully Eclectic

Myself and two of my friends who live in different areas met in this general location to reconnect for a few days. We chose this wonderful location because it was so close to the square. We could walk anywhere. There were lots of shops and restaurants that were very delicious. The house itself and the proprietors were wonderful. The house is filled with so much charm and so many interesting items. It was also filled by the proprietors with wonderful drinks and ice cream and cookies lots of condiments, dishes, silverware, kitchen appliances, and everything else to make a fantastic stay for us. We were so happy that we chose the little Art house as our place to meet up and reconnect. You will not be disappointed as it had All of the admin that you would ever need.
