「This was an amazing and unique experience in the middle of the desert. The camel ride and the SUV tour was worth it . I had tea in the nomads tent ,visited the old mines , listening to a life Gnawa show and lunch at Nora restaurant than camel ride back to camp .The host Zaid was the best host ever , he picked us upon arrival at 2am and drove us to camp than serve us a full dinner course especially made for us .I want to thank Zaid ,Mohamed and Fatima for making our visit so special . 」

「I can't say enough good things about this camp. We were updated to a fabulous suite tent that was warm and the bed was more comfortable than the one at my house. Dinners and breakfasts were amazing. Mohamed, our tour guide was fabulous - I highly recommend going to see the nomad camps and music with him. And if you have time, ask him to take you riding on the quads. 「The manager in the camp offered lot help on transportation since we didn’t drive 4X4 car to the camp! We got lost few times in the desert! 」

「It was Dec so a little too cold in the desert for a comfortable sleep. They enough provided enough quilts but when the bed is cold, it is cold :-) They had warm running water, bathrooms were clean and well equipped. They do not take credit cards so be prepared to carry cash. The owner met us in the city afterwards, we had to stand in line, withdraw money multiple times from the ATM to give him cash. He was very friendly but the process took away time from our schedule. 」

We spent 2 nights at the camp and I am so glad that we did, one just would not be enough. Although the food, surroundings, stargazing, camel rides, and four wheeling through the dunes are amazing, the best part of Horaz is the wonderful, warm staff. 「A beautiful unique place right at the sand dunes. The description "connected with a shopping center" is wrong, there is no shopping center. It is connected with a well-equipped camping site. The last stretch of the access road goes across sand, unpaved. Camel rides are right next door. Beautiful sunsets, sky full of stars, open-fire barbeque for delicious food which comes in huge portions and with many tasty sides. WiFi works in the common area but not in the simple rooms and the water didn't...

「The camp site was good and good arrangement in meeting point. The Boss and his team were very nice. We'll go again for the foggy weather was no good to see stars at night even with this good place. Dinner and Breakfast were good. The Boss also brought us to his mall to show their carpets and beautiful hand made jewelry. However, i would like to have a fan in my camp for the next visit and delay a little bit longer the power supply.」

「It’s close to erg chebbi so you can see sunset there. We got a free room upgrade which is spacious and with good hot shower. Good to have free pickup to hotel from bus station tour prices quoted by the hotel is expensive. In the end we booked something outside and hotel personnel was apparently upset by this and didn’t provide us with free drop off from hotel to bus station.」
