The Space:
King's Cottage by Tiny Away sits in the peaceful countryside of Irymple, just 15 minutes from the Australian Inland Botanic Gardens. Here, you’ll find serene gardens adorned with native and exotic plants, vibrant flowers, and majestic trees—perfect for leisure strolls and delightful picnics.
What’s more, you can explore nearby Red Cliffs, known for its striking red earth landscapes, and Mildura, a hub for citrus farming and home to attractions like the Mildura Arts Centre and BCF Mildura.
This cozy 139-square-foot tiny home sits in its own paddock with private access from Fern Avenue. It features easy access to water, split air conditioning, a kitchenette, cooking equipment, and excellent bathroom facilities. These amenities include an eco-friendly cassette toilet with a removable waste holding tank, hand basin, and gas-heated shower—making it a perfect choice among relaxing holiday homes.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Since this is a working property, there may be occasional noise from machinery and other activities.
Guest Access:
Guests have access to our cozy tiny home and the paddock (with prior notice). However, the house yard and sheds are off-limits, as this is a working property.
NOTICE TO ALL GUESTS: Please note that there is a HIGH RISK of snakes in the area, so we advise guests to exercise caution while walking and to follow these safety guidelines:
- We ask guests to follow these safety guidelines to prevent snake bites
- Avoid walking through tall grass or grasslands like snakes. We recommend wearing long loose pants and close-toed shoes such as boots and sneakers.

King's Cottage by Tiny Away is located in Irymple, just 15 minutes from the beautiful Australian Inland Botanic Gardens. It's a scenic five-hour drive from Melbourne, taking you through charming regional towns like Castlemaine, Wycheproof, Sea Lake, and Ouyen.
Local highlights include Woodsie’s Gem Shop, known for its dazzling gemstone and jewelry displays; the Irymple Hub, a vibrant center for community events; Mildura Central, a modern shopping destination; and the Mildura Arts Centre & Historic Rio Vista House, where you can enjoy art exhibitions, live performances, and guided tours.
Getting Around:
By car:
- We are located in far NW Victoria, right on the Murray River border between Victoria and New South Wales. We are a 4hr, 400km drive from Adelaide and a 6hr, 600km drive from Melbourne. 2WD friendly.
By public transport:
- There are direct flights to Mildura from Sydney and Melbourne, and several taxi services in the area which can deliver you straight to the property.
Other Things to Note:
- Tap water is not drinkable
- Gas BBQ Grill is available
- We have two dogs that are kept in our yard
- Mobile phone receptions have good signals
- No unregistered guests or visitors are allowed
- No open fires and BBQ grills allowed during fire season
- No smoking allowed inside the tiny home, except in designated areas
- There will be a few complimentary bottles in the tiny house, guests will need to bring extra
- We would like to advise guests that longer stays or later check-outs will incur an additional charge
Important note:
- Due to the nature of the property, abundant wildlife may be present.
- For stays of 5 nights or more, an additional cleaning fee will be collected to help maintain our cassette toilet and ensure a clean and fresh experience for all guests. We appreciate your understanding.
