We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The staff was incredibly kind, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything we needed. The location was excellent, making it easy to explore the area. Everything exceeded our expectations, and we truly enjoyed our stay. We would definitely recommend this hotel and would be happy to come back in the future!

Amara is a gem in a fantastic location for reaching the major historical sights on foot. The cafe is lovely with indoor & outdoor seating options. The free Turkish-style breakfast is great and filling :-) Everything in the room worked well, no problems at all. We hope to return to Istanbul with our whole family someday, and booking a hotel will be an easy task: Amara!

Das Personal am Empfang war sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Allerdings hat die Putzkraft wirklich oberflächlich gereinigt. Wir haben uns mehrmals beschwert, daraufhin hat die Putzkraft nur die Stellen detailliert gereinigt, die wir auch bemängelt haben. Ich fand es aber gut, dass das Personal am Empfang unsere Beschwerde ernst genommen hat. Preislich war das Hotel super

This hotel single-handedly ruined my trip. I would 100% not stay here again. The hotel advertises king-sized beds, but the largest bed they actually have is a double. When I raised the issue, they put two beds together and tried to convince me that it was one bed until I called them out on it. The problems didn’t stop there. The power went out, and their generator failed, leaving me unable to shower. I also got stuck in the elevator, which was extremely concerning. Despite being trapped, the staff did not make a serious effort to get me out until I started yelling. The rooms were poorly insulated, with paper-thin walls that allowed me to hear children yelling until 4 a.m. On top of that, construction work at the hotel started around 7 a.m., making it nearly impossible to get any proper sleep. Even the shuttle service was poorly handled. I had reserved a shuttle for the morning of my departure, but when I came downstairs, I was told they still had to arrange it and that it could take up to 30 minutes. To make matters worse, the bathroom was unclean, and the sheets and towels were not properly clean either. From the misleading room description and unsafe elevator experience to the power outage, noise, construction, poor cleanliness, and disorganized shuttle service, this stay was an absolute disaster. Save yourself the trouble and stay somewhere else.

Helpful and friendly staff

Not a bad hotel in a nice central location. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The included breakfast was poor and disappointing;, just one boiled egg and some ham , cheese , bread and olives plus condiments. Room and bathroom in general were ok. Safe was not very safe. Hallways were undergoing renovation so at times looked like a building site and slight issue with the plumbing one morning with dirty water coming through the taps and toilet.

Rummet var nybäddat men tyvär väldigt smutsigt. Det var trasiga dörrlister och damm/hår överallt i rummet framförallt i lådorna till byrån. Överlag så fick man inte en hemtrevlig känsla. Dessutom så såg receptionen ut som ett renoveringsobjekt (endast ett bord med sönderslitet tak), verkligen ett dåligt första intryck. Man hörde väldigt mycket genom väggarna och andra gäster var högljudda fram till 01.30 på natten. AC-enheten funkade inte vilket gjorde att rummet var väldigt kallt framförallt på natten. Glipande lister kring fönstrena gjorde att det blev kalt vinddrag i rummet. Det positiva var att hotellet var dess centrala placering och nära till tunnelbana och övriga sevärdheter.

Bij aankomst op de eerste dag kregen wij een kamer waar geen water uit de kraan kwam. Daarnaast werkte de televisie niet en ontbrak de afstandsbediening. Het probleem kon niet worden opgelost, waardoor wij de volgende dag een andere kamer kregen. Deze kamer was wel ruimer, maar ook hier werkte de televisie niet. Tijdens ons verblijf van vier nachten zijn de kamers geen enkele keer schoongemaakt, ondanks dat wij dit meerdere keren hebben aangegeven. Ook moesten wij zelf achter toiletpapier en schone handdoeken aan. Zeer teleurstellende ervaring. Voor ons nooit meer dit hotel.

De locatie is perfect, dichtbij tram, metro en boot. Veel eetgelegenheden en gezellige straatjes. Hotel was prima, ontbijt was erg lekker. Personeel is superaardig. Ik dank Furkan en Ömer voor de gezelligheid en hun behulpzaamheid. Top, jongens ga zo door!

War alles gut bis auf das einchecken. Wir waren um 14:30 da und hatten erstmal kein Zimmer und mussten warten bis die Zimmer sauber waren (da waren Leute drin die eigentlich auschecken sollten, aber noch immer drin waren) Ende vom Lied wir sind um 17 Uhr eingecheckt. Sonst war alles top :)

Enjoy the hotel and the location

Very good hotel and the location is excellent too. Mr Ayhan at the reception is very nice person and very helpful too . I would recommend this hotel and would certainly stay at this hotel. There is a lovely girl at the reception she is very friendly and very helpful .
