We had a lovely stay in this hotel. We really enjoyed the cleanliness and the room was fabulous. We had a balcony off of our room and felt well taken care of by the staff. The breakfast is delicious and it’s a great location to walk to many of the popular sites.

We stayed here from August 12 to 20 and have loved it here as it is perfectly located in the heart of Sultanahmet. Everything you need including supermarket is here at close proximity. Yunus was great with us. The family connected rooms was fantastic as well. We rebooked this hotel for the last 9 days of this month hoping for even a better experience. Another review to come soon.

Great staff. Great location. My room was very clean and big. The hotel doesn’t have a ton of amenities but what do you expect in isatnbul right next to the Hagia Sophia? I had a great time and the hotel helped a lot.

Highly recommend this hotel, very central to all the tourist sites and bazaars. Also close to trams. The staffs are very friendly and helpful and the hotel rooms are clean. The Turkish breakfast spreads were amazing.

This is the fourth time I am staying at this hotel. The hotel is centrally located in the historic district, Sultanahmet within walking distance to several historic sites and restaurants and businesses. The hotel is very well maintained and the staff is most helpful. The hotel also has its own Hamam and offers a free buffet breakfast. The rooms are clean and updated with new amenities. Highly recommended.

Just arrived back staying at the Golden Royal Hotel for 5 nights. Prior to booking this hotel I did do a lot of research into which hotel to stay in and going by the reviews, this hotel had the better reviews so went for this. It was no doubt, the right choice. Upon arrival the Porter was out straight away and got our luggage straight into the hotel from the Taxi. At reception we were greeted by Erwin. as there were 3 rooms we had booked, these were on 3 different floors but at my request Erwin managed to somehow get us all on the same floor even though the hotel was quite full. Erwin was very professional and gave us all the information we required. The next day at the reception we also met Yunus and Celsi. Yunus was a very helpful, funny guy, had a good laugh with him. Celsi was a very kind and helpful lady, always ready to help, she also let me use her personal phone to make calls! I think she was more on the management side. The 2 Porters were very helpful, one of them named Ibrahim. The rooms were very clean and cleaned everyday, Tea/coffee/water bottles were complementary, A/C worked as it should, Hot water, shower were spot on. Hair dryer and all the soaps were provided. Breakfast (buffet) was too good, so much choice and very tasty. The Hotel is in Sultanahmet area (Faith), very lively and busy area where you cant get bored, food, shopping, sight seeing, boat cruises all within nominal walking distance. Top Hotel, Top Staff, Full Marks! Thank you. .

It was an okay stay. I stayed August 12 to 20 and had a pleasant stay. I decided to rebook again after my Greece trip from August 25 to Sept 2 and I regreted it. At checkin they gave the wrong room but quickly fixed it. However before I left on 20th, they said they would give me a fourth floor room so we get more light but was given a 3rd floor connecting room where one of the room ac fan did not work properly. I brought this up and they attempted to fix it but it was not much use. I asked for higher floor but they said it was all booked out. When I checked Expedia, connecting rooms where available and quite a few of them for dates i was staying. I communicated via WhatsApp and didnt get much result and even asking me to deal with them directly rather than bringing it up to the manager. This is all on record on whatsapp. As a returning customer i expected some above and beyond as i gave them a total of 15 days of stay.. I let it go after 2 days as they ignored it as well. I regret being a returning customer but location was great and staff was friendly in general. Also the expedia booking mentioned VIP package but not sure what VIP experience it was suppose to be as they did not mention anything about it during checkin or about any of the ammenities and perks. Location and cleanliness was great but do better for returning customers. This experience was a 3 star unfortunately as a returning customer.
