Great location in sultanahmet, plenty of food and shopping options on your doorstep. Restaurant downstairs was very average - slow and food not warm enough. Building is old and neglected. Overpriced for what is is.

The hotel is adequate. The staff is nice and welcoming, the cleaning is fine. The bathroom facilities are very outdated and on the verge of not working. The bathroom door in our room couldn't close which was not ideal. The wifi did not reach our room, so if you are on it you have to sit in the lobby. The breakfast was very sparse and not worth the 10€ per person, per day. All in all the hotel is completely adequate, it needs some updates and repairs, but the stay was fine overall.

This is very charming hotel that is in the heart of Sultanahmed. It really is incredibly close to the Basilica Cistern, the Hagia Sophia, and the Blue Mosque. What I liked about Kybele is that it has character and makes you feel like you are in Turkey. My room was lovely and quaint. The hotel breakfast is excellent. The hotel also has a restaurant out front that is a great place to relax and watch the world go by. Note that this hotel doesn't have an elevator, so if you struggle with stairs this may not be for you. That being said, the staff was very helpful in carrying my heavy suitcases to my room and down again when I checked out. I definitely recommend Kybele for character and location.

ランプの埃や古い絨毯にアレルギーが出ました。 スタッフは心良くランプの少ない窓の多い部屋へと変えてくれました。 1階では、なぜかコンセプトに合わない陽気なラテン音楽が流れ、ピアノは調律されておらず、レストランは物価高騰に上乗せして高いです。 コンセントはとても刺しにくい位置にあり、テレビは付かず、狭く、エレベーターは無く、とても古いので重苦しい雰囲気で薄暗いです。 私には合いませんでしたが、友人は心地よく滞在できたようです。 古いレトロな雰囲気を味わいたい方は良いかもしれません。 ありがとうございました。

I would classify this place as a “boutique hotel”. I has a charming style all its own. It location is perfect for visiting some of the more well known landmarks like The Blue Mosque or the Basilica Cistern. There are plenty of restaurants ranging from simple to the more expensive within walking distance. The hotel itself offers a restaurant of its own. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. For instance, I had to leave at 2:30am to the airport. Staff facilitated my taxi so I didn’t have to worry about anything. If I come back to Istanbul, I will definitely stay here again. I’ve already recommended this place to a couple friends of mine who are considering visiting Istanbul. This place is great.

So close to everything, even the walk to the Galata tower wasn’t bad and that’s over a bridge ! The staff were so nice and helpful. Everything was very clean and the room was beautiful. I would stay here again :)

Solid choice, great staff

Quirky room and quirky hotel (in a good way, if that’s your thing!). Staff are incredibly friendly. The hotel location can’t be beat - it was close to everything we wanted to see. Breakfast was fine - met the need. The bed and pillows were better here than in other hotels we stayed at in Türkiye! I’d stay here again.

Highly recommend

Our room had a lovely charm to it. It was smaller than I expected, but it perfectly fit our needs! The central location made it easy to walk and use public transport. The breakfast was absolutely wonderful, and it saved us a lot of money to add it on. The hotel has an associated restaurant, which I assume is why the food was so good. Rooms are serviced every day (no do not disturb option).
