“Absolutely sweet little place Close to central area Welcoming was excellent”

“My family and I stayed at this location at the end of October 2024. It was clean, spacious enough for 5 adults, and conveniently located within walking distance of Nishiki Market, which was great. Beds were soft, showers were excellent, toilets of course amazing, would stay again next time we come to Japan. Working with the property manager was very easy and courteous through email in the weeks prior to the visit and was very responsive by email when I had a question about the AC at the……

“This was a wonderful location for our group of 5 to explore Kyoto. The communication with Akane was phenomenal, as were her very detailed instructions (with photos!) for how to find her apartment and use all of the appliances and gadgets. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in her traditional Japanese apartment. ”

“We felt VERY unsafe here. Check in guy knew our room code, even tho it was supposed to be private info. He felt like he had to show us the 2 room apt and lingered too long. We left and never even stayed there because we felt unsafe. VRBO will not even consider refunding us, even tho safety is supposed to be their top priority.”

“My husband and I stayed there for 5 nights with 4 teenage kids (the house could fit one more). It is tastefully renovated house with all brand new appliances, however it still preserves the traditional ambience. We were really impressed. We also enjoyed its location close to the hiking/biking trail along the river: kids were jogging there in the morning and in the evening we took a 15-20 min walk home from busy district. Would highly recommend the place!”
