I loved the property and our room. It did smell a little musty, but feel that is to be expected due to age of building and proximity to river. The staff was awesome. Much more fun and interesting than another hotel ( chain ). The continental breakfast however, was not enough to satisfy my husband and he didn't think the quality of the food was very good.

Wonderful "Old Florida" setting on the St Johns River. The grounds are delightful with gorgeous views in every direction. Our daughter's wedding was held at Club Continental 24 years ago and we have sweet memories of the event. Weddings are a big part of their business, but they are also open for room rentals, such as we did over the 2026 Labor Day weekend. The dining experience on Friday night was excellent, as was the Sunday brunch. Our room overlooking the St Johns was large and comfortable and appeared little changed from 24 years ago.

Very interesting place off the beaten path. Beautiful location in a historic property. Lots of charm but far from “state of the art”. If you like history in a beautiful place but aren’t too picky this is a cool option.

No WiFi in the River suites. No cable / streaming in the River suites. 'We are going to fix this [after I have left]'. 'We did not know that, we've written it down'. Out of season isn't necessarily a good indication of their regular service, but it's what I experienced.

The hotel is absolutely stunning. Views are great. Rooms were so nostalgic I loved it. Bed was comfortable. Pool was great too. Only thing I’d say is don’t expect a big breakfast its very light. Just eggs and a bread variety, fruit and yogurt. Overall a great place to stay.

Club Continental was everything we had hope for- and more! It was the loveliest setting with the old oaks laden with Spanish moss, classic architecture, landscaped gardens, and the St Johns River overlook. The rooms were spacious and nicely appointed. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was fresh, much nicer than the typical hotel continental breakfast, served in a beautiful dining room with classical music softly playing in the background. The most relaxing place we have been in a long time!

A beautiful property under the oaks. I choose a riverview room and it was a good size with comfy bed and even an extra twin bed. Also an extra sink outside the bathroom and a fridge. But the balcony with chairs and a table overlooking the river (room103) was where we spent much of our time. It is relaxing for sure. We utilized the"club" for a drink before heading out and it's literally the building next door. Not a whole lot going on beyond the property but you can go to their restaurant however we are Floridians and rarely wear pants. Breakfast on Friday is a buffet with fresh fruit, scrambled eggs, sausage patties, blueberry muffins, coffee and juice. Nice and comfy. I would definitely stay here again.
