Stayed in the two-bedroom villa for 1 night as a family before moving to another resort. The room is in disrepair, dated, and dingy. The main drawback for us was the lack of air conditioning in the common areas, kitchen, and bathrooms. While the terrace was nice spending time in the living area and trying to cook was unbearable. Do not leave any food on the kitchen counter, it will be covered in ants in seconds. The beach is not close to the villas-it’s a short drive or a long walk. Also, the beach towels are not given out at the papagayo beach club, you have to bring your towels from the villas.

The villas are a little far from the beach ao the whole time i had to drive to the beach. Alsa at the beach club you have to pay for the beach chairs 6 dollars and for the beds $90 dollars at least the chairs should be free for guests.

Our stay at Papagayo Beach Resort was nice. Doors to open the Living Room area to the terrace are a little outdated and sometimes not easy to handle. Overall it was a good experience.

The staff, Cindy and Hector, were excellent. The Villa on the Papapagay Resort was excelllent! I am not an AC person, so for us to have control of our own AC in our own 2 bedrooms was just wonderful. We had our own bathrooms too. The 80 degree weather with the continuous breeze from the huge wrap around porch (with the native birds visiting us) into the livingroom/kitchen added to our wonderful experience! There were only a few photos when I booked it, so I was pleasantly surprised. The 3-10 minute walk to the pool, beach and supermarket was perfect! The entertainment (DJs and band) and boutiques on the busy beach were great too! I am still talking about it to my friends and would joyfully stay there again! Cabs are expensive, so it is better to rent a car but Cindy Hector and another guy at the front desk that I cannot recall helped us with that. Peace Maria
