Great place

Camp Paws was a great place to stay for our 4th of July weekend. Very well-equipped kitchen, pictures were accurate as the listing. A very short walk down to the beach club. We loved the porch and the living room couch! Since the house accommodates up to 8 people, it would be great to have more dining-room chairs, only 4 for that big table wasn't enough Also, please install some towel racks around the bathrooms/bedrooms. Overall it was great, highly recommend it.

Fantastic!

My family of 4 and another family of 4 shared Camp Paws for about 5 days. We were in Lakepoint for a baseball 17 year olds tournament, which was about an hour away. We had a fantastic time. Although the drive to and from was an hour it was always worth it knowing we were coming home to Big Canoe and Camp Paws. The house had everything you could ask for. We ended up eating in almost everynight and just enjoying the Beach Club that was within walking distance and grilling out at the house. It couldn't have been any better. The rooms were all spacious and clean, beds were comfortable and it all exceede our expectations. The pictures don't do it justice on just how spacious and clean the house is. We would book again, no questions asked.

Not a place to stay last minute

We needed a last minute, 2 day rental. This listing is actually run by another company, outside of VRBO. They have a lengthy verification proces. After they take your money, THEN the listing company comes in and you have to submit a copy of your credit card to them as well as a selfie and your drivers license. I don't feel that is right since they have already taken your money and will not refund it. The online website you have to submit all your documents to (not VRBO) does not work half the time. So, when you attempt to call or do their online chat, no one answers. It is ridiculous. They will not give you the code to answer the front door until you are verified and they won't answer your calls or texts so you can get verified. They take all the ease out of booking through VRBO and they really don't seem to care. I had to resort to calling the VRBO help line where a nice agent connected me to this rental company. They finally gave me my code but it was a 58 minute phone call. I got a text from them that said I had to add my own name to the Front Gate at big Canoe. I've stayed at big Canoe many times and I know that the guest cannot add their own name. The property itself was fine but the bedding smelled of smoke and there were clean sheets in the dryer. It made me wonder if my bedsheets had not been washed. It is a nonsmoking property it was easy to get to and had nice clean towels. I liked the robes too. I just wouldn't stay here Again because. again because of the pname. B
