Family summer 2025

We had a great time in Big Canoe. Plenty to do for everyone. The property was perfect for our group of 7 adults and 2 children. The hot tub and sauna were perfect after long days of exploring, hiking, fishing, and boating. The Mountain views from this property are spectacular! The home is lovely and well cared for. The Big Canoe community is impressive. We would definitely stay again! Thank you for a wonderful summer vacation!

Family Celebration and Fun

We had the best time celebrating Christmas with our family and friends. We seriously enjoyed every moments from playing games in the family game room to enjoying the hot tub to making large family meals together. We all kept saying what a sweet time filled with laughter, intentionality and joy we experienced in this house. Hope to go back again.

Perfect weekend getaway

Super fun birthday weekend with my teenage daughter and a group of her friends. Gorgeous views from the decks, great for relaxing and dining. Sauna and hot tub were the highlight of the party.Comfortable bedrooms. Super fun game room. Waterfall hiking was spectacular.Kitchen well equipped but NEEDS A NEW KEURIG COFFEE MAKER. There is a very old model that didn't work consistently and coffee was way too watered down. There were no K-cups in the house -- which put a major damper on Day 1 of 2 until someone could fetch some. Not convenient in this remote area, and not ideal when you have a super tight trip. I left 2 whole boxes of K-cups for the next guests.All in all, beauitful home...Would rent again for a family gathering!

Extended family vacation

This property has a breathtaking view the moment you walk in the front door. Everything was very clean and well placed. Very comfortable for our family of 15. Kitchen is well stocked and there are 2 full refrigerators on Main floor and dorm type fridge down stairs. The description for big canoe noted more than once to bring k-cups so each family did, only to find out there were no single cup coffee makers. No big deal- we went to store and bought grounds and used the coffee pot provided. Also, there are double ovens. Bedrooms nice and beds comfortable. Bathrooms clean and everything worked well. Outside decks clean. Be careful on top balcony as there are a couple loose rails (don’t let kids lean on) That happens with being in the elements. Plenty of comfortable outdoor furniture. We watched beautiful sunrises each morning! Heard birds, saw bears, fox, and owl! Game room is so nice and well received from our family members ranging from 5-71 years old. We had 5 cars and all for in drive way. It takes about 15 minutes to get from north gate to house. There is a Dollar store outside this gate and an AIG/Lowes up the road just a little bit from Main Gate. We also did the jeep trail in big canoe. Easy and a great surprise with a waterfall! We enjoyed a day at the beach club with a rock slide, pool, lake, and lake activities. All employees were nice. Everything was clean except the pool. I 100% recommend this beautiful home.

Great place

The place was very quiet. We had a few repairs with barn doors that didn’t have stops and people got locked in the rooms and a shower handle coming off and not being able to shut off the water. I would spray or check for wasps and insects more because someone got stung by a wasp from a nest under the railing. The kids loved the game room and the views were spectacular.
