We were very pleased with this rustic cabin and the outside areas were very relaxing. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting above the river and enjoyed the view and watching the paddlers and fisherman go by.

If you are looking for a nice little peaceful getaway this one is for you! It has sooo much beauty to offer and so much relaxation. If we go back to the area this is definitely where we will stay again. Everyone was so nice!! They supply so much for you! I miss being there already!

Asheville Fly Fishing Company's guests enjoyed another great fly fishing trip on the Watauga River. Watauga River Cabins is a great lodging location for our guests and AFFC includes fishing and private chef options.

This is by far on of the best places we have had the opertunity to stay at. I would love to by this property and retire here. Thanks for a marvelous relaxing treat from the rat races. This place is so peaceful and beautiful. Do yourself a favor and book a long visit here.

Our stay was absolutely wonderful. The cabin was clean and homey. The location was great and very close to anything you might need while still feeling remote and in nature. Gary and patty were also amazing—super welcoming, kind and helpful. Will definitely be back!

Wonderful family holiday stay

The Hemlock cabin was so warm and welcoming, with a Christmas tree and lovely holiday decor. It was very comfortable, with everything we needed. My husband and I were there with our daughter and our dogs, and it was perfect for all of us. The cabin was very clean, with plenty of room for everyone. The outdoor space is amazing, with a large field to walk the dogs and a fire pit right on the river. We loved our stay and will definitely be back!

Heavenly Retreat

Location, location, location...

This property on the river is beautiful! We enjoyed the fire pit and tons of wildlife. Deer or turkey were out in the fields almost every morning. The property was clean and had everything we needed for our week long stay. We'll be back again!

Totally Loved this place!!!

The Watauga River Cabins is a truly unique gem! The photos don't do it justice... it was larger than expected and the views of the river with fly fishing float boats causing by was spectacular. We were in town to visit my brother and his family for the Nascar race at Bristol, which was a short drive and came back to grill some steaks on the grill and have a campfire on the large back patio area while soaking in the scenery. I also fly fish and we were able o book a float trip with High Country Angler in Gray, TN and caught and released a few dozen trout one morning. We will def be coming back to WRC the next time we plan a visit! Max
