Wonderful Family Holiday

Mystic Beach was clean, spacious, airy and bright. The home is well stocked. Everything you need for a 3 generation holiday. The hot tub and ping pong table were hi lights of the trip. We especially enjoyed China Beach.We had a terrific time.

Truly amazing

The house was perfect! Great location for a family looking to spend quality time together! The hot tub was perfect, kitchen well stocked and has everything you could ever need. House was clean and the ping pong table was a great hit! Definitely will stay here again!

Amazing Property

This is an amazing property with fantastic and responsive hosts. So much to do nearby or just spend a few days relaxing around the house with friends and family. An annual tradition!

Amazing house!

Highly recommend staying at Mystic Beach house. Everything from the location, the stunning view, the beautiful attention to detail, the comfort, the hot tub, the whole space itself and the communication with the hosts was top notch! The location is perfect for exploring all of the beautiful local beaches. Can't wait to return.

Island Paradise

We absolutely loved Mystic Beach House! Trevor and Marlena have a little slice of paradise on the island and we loved being able to explore all the nearby hikes and beaches. We stayed as two families and the kids loves the rock wall feature, games, ping pong table, and hot tub. The adults marvelled at the beautiful setting, stunning timber building, views, comfortable furniture, and hot tub. I would definitely recommend staying here!

Another fantastic year at the beach house

This is our 3rd summer staying here and we plan to be back next year. The house and property are fantastic, as is the location near so many great beaches. Any small issues that come up are quickly resolved by email. Can't recommend this house highly enough!

The Best Family Getaway!

The house is gorgeous and the location is perfect for exploring both ends of the west coast. We adventured and explored throughout the day but the highlights were definitely hot tub soaks in the evening and beautiful morning coffee views. Check in was easy and communication with owners seamless. Kitchen and amenities all well stocked. The owners left us a generous little check in basket as well. Our 13 year old felt so grown up with her own little suite. Definitely recommend this property.

Family Beachcombing Trip

We stayed in the beautiful Mystic Beach Vacation Home on our beachcombing trip and it was amazing! Immaculate, well-decorated, comfortable and very well stocked—especially with kitchen and bathroom items. The check-in and check-out instructions were clear and easy to follow, and the book had excellent info about the area. We loved the hot tub and outdoor shower and the proximity to great hikes and beaches. The climbing wall in the kid room was an unexpected bonus for my son! We would definitely stay here again. The hosts had great communication and even had a lovely welcome basket waiting for us when we got there. Thanks!!!!

Mystic Beach Vacation Home more than met our family’s expectations and is highly recommended. The timber frame home is unique and well-appointed, with all the amenities one could want. The expansive view from the deck is awe-inspiring. The hot tub and covered patio area generated lots of relaxation and fun for the family. We spent a week happily exploring the area, with hikes through the rain forest, beach-combing, and winter storm-watching. Marlena was quickly responsive to any queries. We all had an overwhelming positive time and hope to be back soon.

Amazing Vacation!

This was a lovely place to stay. The views were amazing and the property itself was beautiful. We were a group of 6 adults, 2 children and 2 dogs. There were enough seating/sleeping areas for all of us and the kitchen was very well stocked. The beds in the second bedroom up in the main house can be moved together easily to create a king if you prefer, which was great for our group. I would also note that the open bathroom in the lower suite does have a half wall which was good. The interaction with our host Marlena was easy and straight forward. She was quick to respond to any questions and very helpful throughout. One of our favourite things was the ping pong table - the whole family took turns playing. I also loved the shower by the hot tub - it made it so easy to wash off before and after being in the tub. The beaches are a short or long drive away depending on the beach but they were all very different and worth visiting. I probably spent the most time from our group in the house and you could easily stay your whole trip on the huge deck enjoying the views if you wanted to! Really great property and hosts. It was an excellent place to stay.

We enjoyed the panoramic view when the skies cleared and we saw a beautiful sunset and cruise ships passing by in the distance. The property had very spacious rooms on the main upstairs level; a large covered outdoor area on the ground level for kids to run around and play freely and safely; and a nice separate downstairs suite with tv room and couches which would be ideal for teenagers to feel like they had their own space or for grandparents to have a quiet space if it were a multi-generational family stay. We appreciated that this property allowed two dogs. The location was ideal for exploring both North and South from Port Renfrew to Sooke. Wish we had more time to enjoy the property during our three-night stay but a wedding and exploring the local beaches kept us out and about most of the time. The property’s kitchen was well equipped, but I have to admit there were a few times we pulled out a dish to use, and it was either covered with crumbs or had some leftover food still on it, which isn’t a biggie, but we wondered if the cleaning staff checked the dishes as part of their cleaning routine. The rest of the home was clean and comfortable and us five adults and two dogs felt very much at home. All the correspondence with the hosts leading up to our visit was fantastic and quick and the binder at the property had all the information we needed to answer any questions so we didn’t need to contact the host during our stay. PS - Guest Book was full so time for a new one!

Family holiday / wedding

Mystic Beach Vacation House was the perfect accommodation for our family to gather. The layout was ideal for our group that included, my husband and I, our 3 adult daughters and 2 grandkids, 8 & 9yrs old. The home is inviting, warm and comfortable. We arrived with groceries for the week, the kitchen left nothing to want for, it was well equipped. As were the bathrooms and bedrooms. We reached out to the property owners on two occasions. They were kind, and very responsive. The view of the Juan De Fuca straight, and Olympia park, from inside the home and on the deck, was spectacular! The location was perfect for our plans, to hike and explore the wild beaches between Sooke and Port Renfrew. We enjoyed the drive in both directions. We all had an incredible time and made memories to last forever. Thank you Marlena and Trevor for sharing your lovely home with kur family. Rihannon, Martin and family

Beautiful Home

We very much enjoyed our stay. It is a beautiful home and had most things anyone would need. The shower was amazing and the added touch of the fragrant soaps was above and beyond. Our 5 year old loved the climbing wall and games. Beautiful hot tub and even played a few games of ping pong. Also plenty of seating to sit and chat in the evenings. It was also located in a beautiful area. A wish list item would definitely be a microwave though. The only issue was a problem with ants but did not deter our enjoyment and comfort too much. They also seemed to subside.

Beautiful clean home

The pros: The view was absolutely spectacular and the house itself beautifully built and decorated. Kitchen and house are well stocked and Marlena was really responsive and helpful with her communication. There’s beautiful logging road trails right up the road from the house and once up there it’s super peaceful!!The cons: The third bedroom in the downstairs suite (completely separate from the upstairs two bedrooms) was really nice but the bathroom is in the bedroom which was challenging for our stay with young kids. We came for a really relaxing weekend and there was a bunch of building and noise/action in the neighbour property which is directly in front of the house/in clear view. The hot tub was also unfortunately broken for our stay which they made an effort to fix for us but was still quite disappointing as it was a huge selling factor in the booking. Overall though it is a beautiful place!

West Coast Retreat

My family and I absolutely loved this gem of a place! When we arrived, we were greeted with a breathtaking view, peace and quiet, and an immaculate home. Great Family Getaway

We loved our stay at Mystic Beach. We explored by day and relaxed at night. When the weather had us rained in, we very much enjoyed our day at home, relaxing in the hot tub, playing ping pong, and enjoying board games. My children already asked to book again!

Family retreat perfection

A weekly-long family retreat that satisfied all the criteria. A beautifully designed timber frame home with breathtaking vistas across the straits. Complete with a separate suite for the teens. Large very clean hot tub. A gourmand’s kitchen. Comfortable beds and lots of lounge space. And 4 minutes to the surf at Jordan River!

2 days hiking in the rainforest

The vacation home offers a fantastic view to the seaside, is fully equipped for a longer stay, all of the equipment is high quality. The process of getting access is a little complicated.

AMAZING

Such a beautiful and cozy property. When ended our vacation here after camping in the rain for 3 days, absolute highlight to finish up with. We also had family meet up with us here. I thought the kids would only want to spend their time in the hot tub, but they could not get enough of the swinging chairs and ping pong. An absolute blast was had by all. The hosts were wonderful! Not only prompt with reply’s but they have everything laid out for you to optimize your time enjoying the space. Would stay again in a heart beat ♥️
