"I have stayed at Oceangate twice now. The staff I dealt with were friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious, with a microwave and frig, making it easy to take a meal in the room. The mattress was excellent and I got a good night's sleep every night. I loved having a view of the water from my balcony, and watching the light change as the sun went down. There was a variety of hot and cold choices each morning at breakfast. My only complaint is that the coffee could be better, other than that, it was a great stay."

"The cottage was perfect for a quick getaway! It was cozy and welcoming while also giving us space to stretch out and unwind after busy days. It was a quick drive to downtown Boothbay Harbor and Robinson's Wharf is walking distance to go to dinner but you are able to like you are away from everything at the end of the day."

"Despite horrible weather (nor'easter so we had one sunny day out of six) we had a nice stay at Periwinkle Cottage. The dock is a wonderful place to sit in the sun and watch the lobster boats come and go, and also has a great view of the swing bridge. You can walk to Robinson's Wharf for a great lobster dinner or do takeout. The seared sesame tuna, fried clams, and wedge salad were excellent. The Sea Maine host/property manager kept in touch with very good information in the days and weeks before our scheduled arrival, including friendly reminders about our stay and information on local restaurants and businesses. The cottage was spotless and any questions we had during our stay were quickly answered via text. We would definitely use Sea Maine Vacation Rentals again."

"Our stay could not have been more perfect. The cottage is in an amazing location with perfect perspective on the activity in BBH. Kept my husband entertained while we relaxed on the porch. Not only perfect location but it is an iconic “Maine cottage”, with comfy seating inside and out. A beautiful view from every room. Kitchen was stocked with everything you would need and Hosts were available if you needed anything. We could easily walk to town and location was perfect to travel all over the state to sightsee. We honestly can’t wait to go back!!"

"The views from this property were stunning! We loved the porch and sunroom. The location was perfect, close enough to town for convenience but remote enough for peace and serenity. I would include in the description that this is a rustic cottage. I think the bathroom sink is original to 1922! Perfectly adequate but a little surprising— the photos are carefully framed so you don’t see the rust and old-fashioned faucets where you get cold water and hot water separately. It was a blast from the past. There were random nails sticking out from the walls. The furniture was a bit uncomfortable. But despite any drawbacks, we LOVED our time in this very special and unique cottage!!"

"This lovely home was a joy to rent It is in a quiet, rural setting, but close to all that the Boothbay region has to enjoy. The hosts were very accessible, and thought of literally everything that we needed, with great attention to detail. The home has an ideal layout if you host guests during your vacation, with three bedrooms, each with its own full bathroom. The farmer's porch faces Decker Cove and overlooks a beautifully designed hillside lawn and gardens, illuminated at night by solar lights. We have vacationed in the Midcoast region for many years and this is easily the most comfortable and accurately represented rental we have found."
