The Mahana at Kaanapali provides everything you need for your vacation in paradise. From the lanai you will often see turtles in the crystal-clear water, and from December through April watch humpback whales breach from the ocean. Bring your binoculars for a close-up, unobstructed view of the sea life. Watching turtles and whales from this vantage point feels like floating on top of the world.

We couldn't ask for a better location! Being able to watch the turtles, whales and fish right from our lanai is incredible. The condo is small but who spends much time inside other than the day of the Kona low anyway!

We were here a little over a week for our honeymoon! Our favorite parts of this stay were on the lanai- coffee, sunset, counting turtles- but we also loved the location of the Mahana, having all of the necessities (kitchen, laundry, etc.) of home, and having all the beach gear that we needed. Paradise as listed

The minute we walked in and saw the ocean, I knew this was going to be the place for us! The studio literally sits on the water. The place was even better than pictured online. The views from the balcony and inside the unit are absolutely incredible! Mahana was in a quite area with shops and restaurants in walking distance. If you want a clean, peaceful place to enjoy God’s magnificent beauty, this is definitely it!

The Best View in West Maui

Located just steps away from the hustle and bustle of the large resorts is The Mahana. We've stayed at The Mahana 4 different times because the view is unbeatable. While other places boast about ocean views, this condo is as close to the ocean as you can get. The condo itself is as advertised and clean. It is updated and has all of the items you need to make your stay easy, including beach towels and chairs.The location is perfect. You can walk to the larger resorts, food trucks, restaurants, and grocery store. However, you probably won't want to leave your lanai!

45th wedding anniversary and our third trip to Maui. Highly recommend this condo. The lanai was comfortable and the best part was enjoying a cup of coffee and listening to the waves. The whales were very active and fasinating to watch. Enjoyed every minutes. Til we meet again.

Wonderful location!!

We traveled the whole island and thought this area was best. Especially this property looking directly over the ocean. We were able to watch whales and sea turtles right from our deck on the 11th floor. We use the beach chairs and umbrella and enjoyed snorkeling all within walking distance. Would highly recommend!!

Lanai in Paradise

It is all about the view & lanai on this property. We will definetely stay again. A few things could improve: not the most comfortable bed or pillows & only had 3 spoons & 2 coffee cups. The toilet also needs the handle fixed. Other than that it was just wonderful. We took a walk up the boardwalk everyday & the pool, beach & lawn loungers were terrific. I’m so glad we selected this property.

Lovely stay

The room is right on the ocean and nicely appointed. We could see turtles in the water from the lanai and hear the waves all nite. Amazing and soothing. Easy access to walk along the beach or on the boardwalk. Beautiful. Only problem was no air conditioning while it was being worked on but property management brought us a stand up fan to help.we definitely would stay here again

10 year anniversary trip

This was our first time in Maui/Hawaii. Before I had placed my bags down the day we got there, I walked out to the lanai and there was a sea turtle basking on the beach! The only day we didn’t see a sea turtle swimming close to shore was the morning we left. We also saw whales from the lanai and that was pretty special.The location is perfect. Lots of good restaurants around and activities to do. We snorkeled right off the shore a couple time and saw lots of fish and more sea turtles.The condo was clean and felt like a home away from home. We would definitely recommend staying here and would love to visit this same place again in the future.
