Clear communication before, during and after our stay. I love staying at the Whaler. This unit had everything we needed. I would recommend this unit to others and would stay here again!

Amazing location. Fine condo.

We love the location of The Whaler. The views are amazing. You can walk to snorkeling, dining, surfing, etc. The condo itself was fine. The beds felt outdated. The sofa sleeper was very bumpy. The oven didn’t work. There is no laundry in the unit. The internet was down. Housekeeping said it would charge extra for an extra set of sheets for a blow up mattress that was in the unit. We’ve stayed in the Whaler before in better units with better management.

Paradise

One of the nicest condominiums we have ever stayed at. Very clean well appointed has everything you need to make your stay enjoyable and comfortable. Bed is comfortable. Two bathrooms are a huge bonus, and the views are out of this world. There is work going on the outside of building one, but don’t let that stop you. It didn’t bother us at all. I would recommend this property to anybody going to Maui specifically kind of Holly Beach and we will be returning.

Loved the location

We always stay at the Whaler. It is a perfect location on Kaanapalii. The condo was nice. Very clean and well kept. The property management team was very receptive . They fixed a problem in the shower the next day. However check in was a hassle. The room wasn’t ready at 3:00 pm as promised. Staff at the property was indifferent. As many times I have stayed at the Whaler checking in was the worst.

Great views and in the center of Kaanapali

This unit is a good value for double sided views of the west Maui mountains and the ocean/Black Rock. It's right in the middle of Kaanapali Beach with easy access to shops, restaurants, and a great walking path. The condo is equipped with everything you'd need for a week's vacation like we had.

Fantastic Location

We love this corner unit at The Whaler because it has 2 bathrooms and an awesome view of the mountains, beach & ocean! The unit is spacious for the 4 of us. It is equipped like a regular condo. There were beach chairs/umbrellas and blow up mattresses in the closet. It’s nice that each floor has a complimentary laundry room and trash chute. The complex is nicely landscaped and conveniently located next to Whaler’s Village with nice shops & restaurants and 2 resorts over to Black Rock beach. Water excursions are offered right on the beach front. The management company was professional, accommodating, and quick in response. One thing to note, the water in the bathrooms take a few minutes to heat up. We had a wonderful time and would definitely stay at this unit again.

Amazing Stay

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the view was outstanding. We ended up deciding to get food to go just so we could eat on the balcony. Location is excellent!

Magical View Can't be Beat

We had a perfect stay at the Whaler. On theme for the rest of the reviews this property sits in the MOST perfect location with the MOST perfect view. Your options for dining, beach, exercise are limitless and if you don't feel like leaving this view, your night is pretty perfect taking in the view. We never left the patio. Breakfast each day overlooking Black Rock was heaven. We also loved how the Whaler's amenities were hotel quality. So beyond easy to park in the garage and just live day to day in this property. We later went down to Wailea in another VRBO and missed this unit and it's vibe and talk about it still now that we are home. The only suggestions we had were: kitchen knives need a major refresh as does the drinkware (cocktail glasses needed), coffee pot and bedding. It is near perfect otherwise and we'd happily return back to this paradise! Such a special unit.

I can't wait to come back to Maui and I will be looking at the Whaler as my first choice. This unit was well-stocked and spacious. The building and its location to the beach/shops is as good as it gets. The mountain + ocean view wrap-around balcony was fantastic as well.

Fantastic stay for our family

We loved the Whaler 1124. Perfect location on the beach, with Whaler's Village next door and the beach just outside. The unit was clean and well-stocked, and the wrap-around lanai was amazing. The unit has a drip coffee maker, a Keurig, blender, toaster, a couple of beach chairs, and a couple of self-inflating air mattresses to use for beds, in cases like ours where pulling out the bed each night for the kids to just fight in was a pain. Overall we loved our stay, and would absolutely book this unit again when we return to Maui. Mahalo!

Pictures don’t do the property justice. The location and the balcony were amazing! Many meals and after the beach lounging happened there daily. The staff was friendly and it was in the center of everything. The place was clean and had lots of stuff for the beach en-suite. The bed was super comfortable too. This was my 3rd time in Maui and the best place we have ever stayed, it trumped the Westin where we stayed last time. If I go back to Maui, I am staying here, you cannot beat that view.
