This was the cleanest, most well-stocked condo we’ve ever stayed in during our trips to Hawaii, right across the street from excellent snorkeling at Kahalu’u Beach Park! The unit is well maintained and has a lot of insulation, so we didn’t have to rely on the A/C to stay cool as much as some other places. The kitchen had everything - there was even a French press and filtered water in the fridge.Gorgeous lanai with comfortable chairs, and the master bed and pillows were VERY comfortable. It’s a quieter complex than some. Property manager and owner are friendly and easy to communicate with. I hope to stay here again!

Family getaway

The condo was perfect for our family of four. You will definitely need to rent a car as the location isn’t very walkable. Parking was free and easy.

Awesome condo

We loved this place. Very good layout for a family, with a snorkeling beach JUST across the street. Such a great location. Everything worked, everything was clean, the kitchen was actually well-stocked (they all say that, but you never really know…). And as a bonus- beach chairs, coolers, umbrellas, etc. All the stuff you want but you can’t bring it on the plane. Just a nice place to stay while touring the big island.

Lovely, spacious and relaxing.

This condo is as advertised, if not nicer in person. Great space for two couples to share but have privacy too. Deck views and pool were so nice. On site parking, near local shopping plaza and across from a snorkelling bay. Wonderful stay.

Very nice condo at a great location

We have really enjoyed our stay. The condo is so well equipped with everything, one of the best snorcheling spot is just across the road and shopping centre with a great sports bar 3 minutes by car. What else you need for a perfect vacations?

Wonderful Vacation Rental

James provided a warm welcome, loads of suggestions for day trips and there was everything you might want in the condo. The view from the lanai was wonderful, lived having our breakfast and dinners there. Access to the beach and snorkeling was great! Thanks for a greatgreat vacation!

Great Location Great Property

We stayed 7 nights at this great property. The condo was very well situated to walk across the road and enjoy world class snorkeling. The kitchen and bathrooms had everything that we could want. Having snorkeling gear here was a bonus so we didnt have to pack our own. They had beach towels, chairs, and coolers available in the condo for you to enjoy your day at the beach. We will definitely rent here again!

Nice property and great location

This is a nice property. It was clean and the pool is a nice addition. Air conditioner worked great! The beach across the street is fabulous. It is also close to restaurants and a grocery store.

Kahaluu Penthouse

Our stay in the penthouse was amazing, great location to a lot of different sights and activities but still nice and quiet. Snorkeling in the bay across the street was fantastic and easy for the novice. So many fish and turtles! We would definitely stay there again. The only issue for our entire stay was the dishwasher was left with dishes that didn’t get washed properly in it and smelled a little. Easily correctable. Loved it and made a great home base for our vacation

Return to Kona

I brought my family to Kona as it had been greater than 20 years since my last visit. What a spectacular location--the lanai has the perfect view of the gorgeous turquoise waters of Kahaluu Beach park and the stellar sunsets. Almost all of our time (when not sleeping or away from the condo) was spent on the lanai. The property also has good views of the green hillside. Kahaluu was the perfect place for my kids to learn to snorkel, and was our second favorite snorkeling spot on the island after Two Step. The AC in the unit was also was appreciated, especially after staying in a house w/o AC at Hilo the week before. The pool was awesome--the infiinity/horizon pool view was great looking over Kahaluu--a perfect place to chill with a margarita. The kids had a blast in the pool as well, and we all enjoyed the hot tub during a rain shower...which by the way was nice and hot. I also enjoyed the grill and cooked out by the pool one evening. Of course the unit is close to all of the restaurants on the main Kona strip, and also a few miles a way from grocery stores/Walmart etc for stocking up. Parking was no problem and never had to fight for spaces and the elevator helped with our many suitcases. The only negative I'd note is that the master bedroom pillows are due for an upgrade and one night we had some cigarette smoke blow by the lanai from a neighbor's unit. Lastly, I want to thank the owner for being ultra-responsive and attentive to our occasional special requests!!

Kahalu'u Beach Villas

This was an wonderful condo and property with a lovely view of the beach, coastline and even Hulalalai volcano. The condo had everything we needed and we even used the beach and snorkel supplies. We also met some friendly fellow travelers who were staying in another unit. I would definitely rent this property again.
