“Unfortunately this place is in desperate need of investment. The kerb appeal is very good but the jetty for example is falling into the river and not as pictured. The room wasn't very clean which is a great pity as the owner is very friendly. The food was lovely, we had both Breakfast and evening meals and could not fault them. It just a great shame that it is not as good as it could be. If the owner makes a investment in his property he could definitely charge more to stay.”

“Absolutely perfect in every way. Great value for money. Beautiful view from our balcony over the lovely swimming pool. Breakfast was massive! Abu was really helpful. He also picked us up from the airport, and drove us to Hillary’s via a turtle hatchery and a boat trip on the River Madu. I would definitely recommend him as a driver if you’re looking for someone reliable. ”

“The couple that own this guest house are wonderful, friendly, caring, and kind. The day I left, the gentleman walked me to the train station, to help me get my ticket and stayed until I left on the train.”

“What a lovely location! I selected this hotel on a whim to relax after a busy tour. What a lovely place on a quiet cobblestone lane. The back faces the lagoon with a lovely view, water sports are available and the front faces the ocean and long sandy beach. Exquisite rooms, delightful staff, a charming hotel. A pleasant walk or tuk tuk to town. I enjoyed my stay. A little off the beaten path but so worth it. Oh and there is a small pool which I didn't use as the ocean was warm and so close.”

“The hotel is undergoing renovations & is essentially a construction site. If you just need somewhere to sleep, it might be okay for you. The reason for the review and # of stars is mostly due to the lack of communication ahead of our stay - it’s very common for hotels to send a message ahead of the stay; we didn’t hear anything from the hotel, and then when we arrived they appeared surprised to receive us. ”
