Great condo in Kapa’a. It’s directly across from Safeway, easy walk to many restaurants, and a quick drive to downtown Kapa’a.

Home away from home

It was our first time on this island and the room was not that far from the airport and close to the beach plus my daughter had a blast at the pool which had two water slides.

Short walk to beautiful beach area and bar with knowledgeable and friendly bartenders. Good food menu also. Large pool area. Unit clean and well stocked. Only suggestion is that there be a bench or chair inside door to make it easier to remove and put on shoes. Enjoyed our stay there.

Beautiful condo

We all had a fantastic time in Kauai and the condo only contributed towards the great experience. We’d stay here again! It was clean, spacious, and comfortable. Home away from home!

Fit my needs

This room and location totally fit the needs that I needed to enjoy the island. Loved the bike path and being able to walk it everyday. And the convenience of all the shops and places to eat was perfect!

My kids loved the pool and the hot tubs with sand on the bottom were awesome. The condo is located in a great central location on the island with a grocery store across the street and half way between the south and north shore. The condo looks out onto a parking lot but that was clear from the pictures ahead of time. Overall we had a great stay!

Great spot for kids and central location

We loved staying here. The resort is located in a great spot making it easy to get to any beach on the island. Access to nearby groceries, dining, and local beaches are also fantastic. The property itself is very nice and clean. It's a modern building with great insulation between units. We never heard any of our neighbors. I loved having access to the amazing pool and waterslides for my kiddos. It did a great job of wearing them out for bedtime which made for a lot of peaceful nights which means a lot to the parents of a 2 and a 4 year old!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location for the condo was perfect and condo itself is perfect for 2 couples. We loved the condo overall. The kitchen is well stocked and they give you lots of bathroom and kitchen supplies (soap, toilet paper, etc). Our only complaints were the beds were a little to soft for our liking, the pool was so cold we didn't really want to use it and the living room furniture wasn't extra cozy - but it does have a pullout couch if you are looking for that.

It was right on the beach, had beautiful grounds and pool area and was close to restaurants, stores and anything we needed. Being in Kapaa it was centrally located and easy to get to all areas of the island. The condo was beautiful with very large bedrooms, bathrooms and kitchen that felt luxurious.

Great location! This is a parking lot view but great for families.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this condo. The location is fantastic, being close to the beach, shopping, restaurants, and the Wailua River. The pools and jacuzzi added an extra layer of enjoyment after spending our days exploring various beaches around Kauai. However, there were a few aspects that weren't as positive. The condo had an unpleasant odor that made us spend most of our time outside, only using it for sleeping. Even then, the odor seemed to linger, affecting our comfort. Additionally, although we had reserved accommodations for five people, we were unable to use the rollout beds provided. This forced us to make do with the sofa, which didn't have clean sheets. The sofa bed also lacked extra blankets, leaving my son without sufficient cover and having to improvise with what was available. Despite having initially reserved for five people, it turned out there were only accommodations for three beds. This was unexpected, especially since my husband and I shared the Queen bed. Despite these inconveniences, the condo's location was a major highlight, contributing to an overall enjoyable experience.

Great unit that could be even better with a few improvements

I have a few suggestions that would make staying at this unit more pleasant. My feedback.1. Most of the dishes don't fit in the dishwasher. Only the smallest dishes fit and there are only about 4 of those. Needs more size appropriate dishes. 2. The extra pad on the beds makes the beds extremely soft. Too soft. The mattress has its own pad already so the additional pad is unnecessary and cumbersome to remove and store. 3. The bedroom with the king size bed has a vent that points directly toward one side of the bed which makes sleeping a constant fluctuation of freezing cold then hot or normal temperature. 4. A large puddle forms in the kitchen from either the fridge or AC condensation (I think). It's a slipping hazard. We weren't sure which towel to use to sop it up. 5. Ripped screen doors let mosquitoes in. 6. Would be nice having a functioning TV in room with queen size bed. Despite these issues we had a great stay and would recommend the unit and resort.

really is as good as it looks!

This rental was honestly spectacular! It has three bathrooms (one is a smaller space -- a toilet, shower and sink) two different bedrooms, a living room, and a full kitchen. The beds are very comfortable. My only suggestion would be to add spare blankets in the closets. There were spare linens and towels available. It's clear that the unit is just a rental and isn't lived in; you'll notice some strange things (the plates don't fit in the dishwasher, for example). It's modern and has central A/C, which is crucial for anywhere you stay in Hawaii (A/C prevents mold and bugs). The washer/dryers came with a big tub of non-scented detergent which was great. The property itself is beautiful. You get full access to the lazy river pool and beach. A word of caution -- this apartment is through Remax Kauai and we had to sign what was essentially a rental agreement. There are a lot of rules and you sign away a lot of your rights, so if something goes wrong, you're paying for it. I will say that I get why it's so strict; some visitors will just trash these apartments. If you take care of it like it's your own home and clean up after yourself when you leave, you should be okay. Lastly, our contact through Remax was so helpful. We had an issue with our flights and had to extend our stay last minute, and she let us do so, no problem. She was also quick to respond when we had an issue with the a/c not turning on (make sure all the doors are shut)! We would absolutely come back.

This was our second time staying at this location (we stayed in a different room the first time.) We appreciate the family friendly pool, clean room, comfy beds, and convenient location. It is across the street from the best shave ice and Safeway. It is 10min from the airport. We highly recommend staying here if you have kids!

It’s a great locale, very underestimated by many. Walking distance to everything, well positioned to access both sides of the island and not far from Lihue. This unit wasn’t our favourite - the lounge area isn’t well set up to be comfortable for more than 2x and the lack of outdoor dining table/chairs was a dissapointment.

Can’t wait to return

We loved our stay at Waipouli. This is our second time there and we couldn’t have been happier with the resort. Exactly what our family needed— family friendly pool, enough space and beds for all of us, and a fully stocked kitchen to keep us fed!

Great place to stay!

Walking in, it is just like the pictures, nice and spacious. The location can’t be beat. We were so close to everything just a few minutes drive to other activities. Very nice pool, the kids loved it. Excellent restaurant on site. Communication with Angela was great! This place is very well maintained, would stay again!
