“George and Subhas home was perfect for our family to spend a weekend in southern Connecticut while in town for the weekend to visit friends. “We were not able to stay at the property but Katherine, the host, was very nice and responsive when we called for help. The email Vrbo sent with the directions to the property were not correct. It sent us to a totally different property in an entirely different location of the property we rented. We searched and searched from around 5:30 in the afternoon until about 7:30 but to no avail. It was a cold and rainy evening. We were giving up when Katherine contacted us and helped direct us to……

“We booked the property because our family is growing too large for all of the children and grandchildren to spend the holidays together. The “holiday house” as our 4 year old coined it was the perfect place to spend Christmas and Hanukkah. Large yet cozy and very well appointed. All of our communication with proprietors was prompt and helpful, and they had the driveway salted and plowed within hours of the (very picturesque) snowfall the day before Christmas. “We really enjoyed totally this Candlewood lake house. it has a fantastic view and a large, beautiful lawn with a fire pit. The owner was a pleasure to work with and she even allowed us to check in a few hours early.The house is fully stocked with everything we needed. The views are fabulous, but if you bring your own boat, the property is at the tip of the lake and the water can be a little rough from other boats going by. ”

"As an experienced traveler, I have to rate this La Quinta a ONE out of Five. The facility is too old to use. To open the door, you need to insert the card key dozens of times. The hall way is not flat, slightly uphill or downhill. The drain of the tub is only half-working. When you take shower your feet are in the water. Basin is cracked and glued. AC sound wakes you up every time when it starts. Breakfast is ok, but lack of food after 8:50, it says that the time of breakfast is 6:30 to 9:30. Parking is free and safe, which is only thing make my thumb up. Overall, with $140 per night price, I must say, I was very disappointed by this hotel!!! By the way, the other La Quinta hotels I have lived in are very good."
