「We have been guests at the Afternoon Cottages twice. We stayed in #4 the first time and #5 the second time. They are mirror images of each other. Everything was clean and the location is perfect for seeing the Aurora as long as the sky is clear. Communication with the property manager was easy and effortless and on our first stay we even extended it by a day. I highly recommend the Afternoon Cottages.」

「Stayed two nights a the Hotel Ranga and so glad that my wife and I added the extra day. The restaurant was all that we expected and more and a great place to spend a cold windy night in the South. It’s also only an hour or so from Reykjavik so well worth the drive for the high quality authentic Icelandic cuisine. Rooms are very comfortable and many have access to one of two outdoor hot tubs. Location also very convenient to main attractions. 」

「Very clean, comfortable hotel that is centrally located to southern Iceland sites. Hotel is off the beaten path, but is very quiet with beautiful scenery and excellent viewing location for the northern lights and star gazing (very little light pollution). Food is very good. Breakfast is excellent with tons of options. Would definitely stay here again!」

「The area is okay, but can tell the property is a little bit rundown with creaking floor sound and thin walls. Certain parts of the floor are also rotten and old. Toilet is very small as well. But the reception area is beautiful and the breakfast is the best we had throughout our trip. The staff are rather nice as well. 」

「The guesthouse has a big kitchen and many toilets. The rooms are extremely small and you have to play a little bit of Tetris to get your stuff arranged., but we knew that. Sadly the mattress was a bit thin and not that comfy. The host was very friendly. Wouldn't recommend staying for more than one night tough.」
