Simply a wonderful five-night stay. The cottage was just as described (if not nicer) and perfectly fit our family of four’s needs. Fantastic location. Our hosts, Ron and Amelia, were consistently welcoming and accommodating - eager to ensure we had a perfect stay on property. We would definitely stay again.

The carriage house was spacious for our family of four. The only thing is there is no breakfast included for carriage house renters and I wrongly assumed it was. But that was an error on my part. Also there is no dishwasher but we were okay with it. Amelia is prompt in responding to any requests. We had some bugs in the kids room and she promptly took care of it.

Very clean and cozy property. Its perfect for small family. There's cute little garden behind the building and fire place. They provided S'more kit and my kids love it! We had it at the last night of our staying. It was a great way to end our trip.

Annual stay in the Kennebunks

I have been going to the Kennebunks since I was a kid in the 80s. I have been going regularly with my kids for the last decade. This was our second stay at the Waldo Emerson Inn. We love the Kennebunks and the inn is a perfect place for me and my kids.

Great place!

The property consists of a lovely historic inn and 2 units in the carriage house. We stayed in a unit. Very clean, well set up and cute. The owners were very responsive, helpful and accommodating.

Excellent stay

We absolutely fell in love with this area of Maine and this vacation rental. We stayed in the Carriage House on this property. Amelia was extremely helpful and gave us a tour of the main house along with the history. They even gave us parking passes for the beach, which costs $25.00 per day. We will definitely be returning.

Lovely stay close to everything!

This cottage was clean & comfortable with plenty of towels, pillows, and privacy. When I arrived, I walked over to the main home and introduced myself. The hosts were there with fresh cookies! They were attentive, welcoming, & very kind. I would absolutely go back!

Perfect Little Base Camp

As empty-nesters, we love finding spots to reconnect with our 20-something kids. Emerson Cottage proved to be ideal. We loved exploring the area beaches, towns and dining, but maybe most enjoyed sitting on the property patio playing cards with the kids. Thank you Ron and Amelia for making us feel so welcome in your charming inn. (PS - Highly recommend packing a copy of "Nature and Selected Essays" by Ralph Waldo himself to read during your stay.)

Charming

We absolutely love this property. Everything about it was warm and homey . Check-in was the simplest we have ever experienced. The owners live one the property and are so nice and fun to chat with. It is in the perfect spot. You can get absolutely everywhere within reasonable driving distance. WARNING: Renting this property in this location will make you want to move to Kennebunk.

Perfect Cottage

The first floor of the carriage house has been remolded, and is great. The beds are comfortable. The kitchen does not have a stove, but there is a coffee maker and microwave as well as refrigerators. The location is 5 minutes from beach and Kennebunk. Inn owners are friendly and very helpful. Would definitely come back.
