Ryokans in Kerala

"We landed at 2 am and had booked airport pick up. The driver was already there waiting. As soon as we got into car we could see the hotel right in front of airport ! It was 2am I would have still booked but daytime I would just walk there. Reception got in touch in advance to offer services and that communication was really good. We got traditional Kerala welcome! This was nice touch. The check in was quick. The room was good size and we had restful sleep. We also had breakfast in morning before leaving. It was nice vibe in breakfast room with artist playing flute and tabla. The variety and quality of food was superb. We stayed in other hotels in Kerala for this 4 nights short visit but stay and food in Taj was the best. Highly recommended "

"It was off season and there was some annual maintenance going on - it has to happen sometime - but the hotel manager and staff had made every effort to minimize this and to more than compensate. If you wanted a fully equipped gym you might have been disappointed but if you wanted to stay in a simply beautiful property - and we were delighted in all respects from room, food, amenities, activities, and location this place is it. But what makes this property special is quite the most genuinely charming and hardworking and professional staff I have encountered in my 45 years of international travel this is the place. From room and catering to garden and security the staff are very well trained, clearly Taj brand appreciative based on conversations I had with them, motivated and make this property as nice as it is. We stayed at 2 other 5 star properties on this trip and this was our clear favourite and made it an exceptional memory. "

"Had a wonderul stay with family. My kid enjoyed the amenities around. We arrived early, but staff was very welcoming and provided us a early check in. Special mention to Sarath & Vijay, who made the welcoming special and helping with pool facilities. Place has a fantastic view of Banasura Sagar dam. Jogging track is also available near the shores of dam. Food was good, special thanks for chef for accomodating our requests. Overall nice resort, we enjoyed the stay."
