“這間飯店的雙床房不是真的雙床房，進房以後傻眼詢問櫃檯，櫃台叫我到樓下，於是我拖著重重的行李下去，以為他要幫我換房，殊不知，到了櫃檯，竟然叫我自己搬床。行李很重，床也很重，不能接受被這樣使喚。不尊重客人。”

“Overall the hotel has a really cool design, the room is spacious, the amenities especially the shower gel and shampoo smelled maginificiant. However throughout the 3 nights I stayed there, there were constantly ‘knocking sounds’ on the wooden wall behind the bed which made falling asleep difficult. Told the reception about the situation and was told this happened very often and they had no idea on the solution. The other thing was that I sent an email to the hotel, the response was so slow……

“This is a fantastic hotel and we have been coming here a number of years, however it has changed its name 3 times since we started to stay here. It is still the American Hotel to us and the astounding history should be respected by all the new owners as I am sure the do and will. It is situated in an excellent location of the vibrant Leidseplien.”

“The breakfast was outstanding especially the omelette. The chef was very friendly and even put on a little performance. The room was very clean and the service was amazing. Overall a great stay and would definitely recommend. ”

“Pros: The hotel is next to Wibautstraat station which is a station that three train roles passed by, very convenient to travel to Amsterdam Centraal Station. Reception staffs are nice and friendly, they do solved all of my requirements. Hotel's Breakfast is at high quality with a fair price(19.50 euro), provided all day breakfast, cheese, cereal, coffee machine, yogurt and different kinds of hams. “Receptionist were professional but not very warm, being polite but cold. The location was great, easy to walk to museums, shops, restaurants! The hotel is also very cosy and comfortable!”
