「A lovely spacious converted barn with easy and safe parking. The photos do not do the living area justice. It is much bigger than expected. There are doors leading to an enclosed garden from the kitchen, lounge and double bedroom. Each bedroom having its own en-suite was a bonus. Convenient for visiting York and the coast. A delightful weekend for three generations and 2 dogs.」

「We loved our stay here! Clean and had a great sleep. Brilliant price for somewhere to stay close to York. Carpark was a little full and some bad parking meant it was a space down, but not the owners fault. Highly recommend for an affordable cute little getaway! Would definitely return」

「Comfortable cosy stay in lovely, clean cottage which is dog friendly.
Situated minutes from shops meaning you can easily get your essentials or grab a drink in a lovely pub.
Nice location and suitable base to drive to other parts of the region.
The cottage was clean and presented as described. WiFi was excellent throughout ( I know that’s required for some, but not us)
Has a small back garden, which is gated and perfect for dogs to stretch their legs.」

「From the moment I arrived, the scenery was beautiful. The lake with various different birds, the trees, forest etc.
I loved the cabin, just perfect along with the outdoor fire pit/bbq where you buy logs through an app.
I will definately be visiting again. Loved it 😊😊😊😊😊」

「This is our second stay at Oakwood Lodges. Smooth transaction from booking to check in and check out. All information provided prior to check in including a telephone call which I found helpful. Lodges are all unique in their own styles. Lodge was clean and everything provided from away from home. Very comfortable. We took the children this time and they loved the hot tub, game of pool and darts, we were all kept entertained.」

「The apartment was comfortable, clean, tidy and convenient for access to the racecourse or for access to York by car. It’s about a half hour walk to the city centre. There's a local bakery and convenience store nearby and we found on street parking for one car.
In the first floor apartment, There’s a small kitchen with a full cooker, microwave, kettle, fridge and washer dryer. The dining table only seats four so you may need to also sit on a bed. The beds are comfortable with bedding and towels...
