We had a great vacation. Perfect location. House was clean and very nice. Beds were comfortable too. Only wished the water was hotter in the downstairs shower.

Fresh, clean and updated

The property was comfortable, clean and had anything we might have needed. The location was great and we appreciated the interior updates. I would definitely recommend staying in this unit.

Key Largo fun

It was just a visit to the area with some scuba. The facilities were very nice with typical amenities plus extra hoses, hangers, and areas for storage and maintenance of scuba gear. The house was outfitted well, stocking everything necessary.

Our favorite get away!

We lived staying at ‘turtle tavern’. It’s beautifully laid out and has everything we neeeded (and nothing more). Our favorite spot was the front screened porch which overlooks the lagoon and is shaded by big trees. We saw lots of critters and will definitely be back. The only thing we noticed is that the main living room couches don’t ’pull out’ into a sleeper but you can configure them as sectionals for a kid to sleep on. And when we had a minor problem w a shower the owners immediately had it addressed and were very responsive and helpful. We’ve stayed in several units at Kawama over the years and this was by far our fav!

Not what we booked.

We chose this property mainly because we needed three beds. Description of condo said there were two beds and a sofa sleeper. We we arrived around 11pm we saw the sofa did not make into a sofa sleeper. It was impossible for anyone to sleep on the couch itself because it was not comfortable. Totally messed up our sleeping arrangements. On day two we came in from lunch and bottom floor and top floor hall was covered in water. Lots of water. We called Ken and he came on over and they got the water cleaned up and had someone check the air unit. The rest of our stay, the air did not work as well as it did before. The condo itself was really nice and the back porch view was wonderful.

This is our third time in these condos as one of the best trips we’ve ever done.

Turtle Tavern fun

We had a great stay at the Turtle Tavern condo. Very clean, well equipped, and great location within the resort complex. Right next to the lagoon and a good point between the two pools. Lots of fish, crabs and iguanas. We even saw a massive lobster in the lagoon! If you have more than one car, parking can be a bit of a hassle, but not terrible. We would definitely stay there again!

Great location for exploring the Keys with alot of amenities

Overall, Turtle Tavern was a great place to use as a base for our exploration of the Upper Keys. We enjoyed Kawama Yacht club although did not take advantage of all the amenities and activities offered. This is a super location for true snowbirds looking to spend the winter in the sun! Host was very responsive in communicating before our arrival. Just a couple of "quirks" that kept Turtle Tavern from being "perfect" compared to other rentals we've stayed in - there were no wash cloths, lighting left areas of the unit either too bright or too dark, and water pressure is not good (probably not something the host can do anything about, I understand), All in all, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend to others.

Love key largo

We stayed on this property last year but at a different unit and I have to say I would definitely pick this one again. The host has left everything you will need to be comfortable for the week. Very clean and spacious and looks exactly like the pictures. We had a very cool iguana that hung out with us so everyday we got to chill with him. Ken was super easy to get ahold of and made our trip flawless. If your going to dive in key largo the host has set it up so that you can take care of your gear when your done, nice surprise for sure. Can’t wait to come back. Thanks again for an awesome trip to the keys.
