Great location, nice property but burdensome management rules

We are regular travelers to Key West. Last year we spent four months there – a month at a time and in four different cottages. The location in Bahama village is first-rate. Close to great restaurants and shops. The property was clean, well maintained and well appointed. The backyard was a real plus. I would definitely recommend the place. Our only problems were with the rules set by the management company. In each previous visit, we arrived mid-day and were allowed to go directly to the property, leave our luggage inside and enjoy an afternoon until the cleaning crew was done. In this case, we were required to drop off our luggage at the management company’s office far up Truman. When I returned mid-afternoon, I was told that the property was not yet ready. I asked that they check, and found it was, in fact, ready. I then asked if they would provide transportation to the cottage – there were company vehicles outside – and was told that I would have to take a taxi. Overall, I got the feeling that we were more if an inconvenience than clients. We would definitely rent a property like La Casita for our next trip but are unlikely to rent through At Home in Key West again.
