Launch your own kayak or canoe just a block away at Kitty Hawk Bay or just stroll over with your cup of coffee to welcome the new day...and walk the dog. Launch your sail or motor boat at the Colington Harbour Boat Ramp. The community pool and tennis courts are just a short drive w/in the Colington Harbour community or a nice walk if you're up for some exercise. Greet the new day on the covered front porch of Treehouse OBX and watch the neighbors getting their day started or, if an animal lover, the birds and squirrels can sometimes put on a show for you.
Live-oak trees shade this cozy two bedroom (double/twin), one bath cottage...with an additional outdoor shower. You MUST try the outdoor shower under the stars...its exhilarating!!! Central AC/H, dishwasher, 2 flatscreen TVs, high-speed internet, phone, under-porch conversation area, all necessary small appliances, gas grill round out the amenities. Newly painted (outside) and new flooring in 2014.
Great restaurants down the road, convenience store and fish market within biking distance if you choose.
Two bikes available. If venturing off Colington Island, you are close to area attractions such as Wright Brothers Memorial, fishing piers, cinemas, shopping centers, & amusements. Public ocean beach access with showers and dressing rooms at end of Colington Rd ( approx. 4 miles). Many other area attractions...lighthouses to climb, Lost Colony Outdoor Drama in historic downtown Manteo, off-shore/inshore fishing. Take a day trip to Hatteras and Ocracoke Islands, and try to spot a wild horse in Corolla.
This Friday to Friday rental is located in a quiet, family-friendly year-round residential neighborhood. You will be removed from the hustle and bustle of seasonal high traffic and mayhem! Owner lived in this home for 13 years and still considers this area of the Outer Banks most unique.
Owner has membership at the Colington Clubhouse which allows guests to use pool and tennis courts. Join other visitors and residents at the pool or the soundside beach for swimming and/or picnic-ing. Guests arriving earlier than 4pm check-in time can cool off and begin their vacation at the pool.

We loved our time at this OBX treehouse! This property is in a great neighborhood, is well maintained, and pet friendly. We enjoyed the large front porch, community pool, and the closeness to both the sound and OBX beaches. The host was very responsive and provided some great restaurant recommendations. We absolutely loved this tree house. We are a family of 3 with one fur baby, our frenchie. The house is decorated perfectly, very clean annd neat and the space for a family of 3 was very comfortable. It is close to everything yet far enough away to be peaceful. The pool was wonderful as was the beach. I absolutely love Betsy. She is very sweet and very responsive if you need something. We will most definitely be back to this tree house. Highly recommend!!

Perfect Beach Treehouse Getaway!We had an amazing stay at this charming little beach treehouse! The house was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed. Fun in the Trees

We had a great time at the Treehouse. Betsy was an amazing host. She responded to our questions right away and was very friendly. The house is spacious and clean. Our kids enjoyed riding the bikes around the neighborhood and to the pool. The front porch is a great spot to relax after a long day at the beach. It’s also nice to enjoy a morning coffee while listening to the birds and watching the squirrels.

Beautiful tree top getaway

The property was clean and well maintained. The bathroom was probably the nicest one we've had in quite a while. There was lots of Wildlife for us to enjoy. The beach was very close but we also enjoyed the sound and did kayaking. This little house was almost The Best of Both Worlds. The host was wonderful and I would definitely recommend this property.

Beautiful property perfect for family

We had a wonderful time here. The porch is lovely and the outdoor shower was one of our favorite parts of this property. Nearby are a nice small beach and very nice pool where everyone was extremely welcoming. We had our dog with us and she loved walks/runs around the property, the little park nearby where dogs are permitted, and the porch. Local restaurants like Higher Grounds and Colington Cafe are lovely. The owner was very accommodating and responsive.

Tree House in OBX

We only stayed two nights but this was a nice property on the sound side of OBX. It is nice to have a place to stay other than a crowded hotel or an expensive rental house. It was priced well and off the beaten path. We did not use the pool so I cannot comment on that. After enjoying the days with our adult children in town it was calm and quiet in the evening away from the hustle and bustle! Thanks for having us!

Sweet Retreat in Colington Harbor

Stayed here with my 2 dogs and absolutely loved the amenities, especially the enclosed front deck....the house was clean and neat and provided everything we needed....Betsy was very communicative and prompt through the rental process and even texted to see if we arrived safely and needed anything....the neighborhood was safe and enjoyable to walk my dogs...for a short walk or drive there's a sandy place by the sound where you can enjoy the water and watch the boats along the harbor....I would definitely stay here again!
