  • One of the northernmost towns along the coast in North Carolina, Duck is an idyllic town on the shores of the Currituck Sound. This shot was taken from the town's boardwalk while looking West over the sounds. It is advisable to visit the location in Winter as that is off season - so you can spend more time taking in the beauty of the North Carolina coastline and also sunsets are usually much more picturesque around the time owing to the cooler temperatures and lower amount of atmospheric haze. Plenty of things around Duck to see. Further north, there is the Currituck Lighthouse where you can climb the steps to the top of the lighthouse. North of Corolla, there is an area where you can drive along the coast on the sand - 4X4s a must. Here you can spot some Spanish Mustangs, horses out in the wild. If you're lucky, you can spot them running along the beach in the surf. I'd recommend taking a tour through the Corolla Wild Horse Fund - the money from the tours is used to help the wild horses in every which way possible and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. This was in a great location in Duck. Easy to get to down town and up to Corolla. Great condo and views. Pool was not working, wi fi not working, can hear the upstairs with creaking floors.

Incredible view

We love staying in this here!! The furnishings, decor and that view is amazing! Walk right down to the beach and riding our bikes on the Duck Trail is perfect. We’ll be back next year!

Wonderful beach spot

Overall we enjoyed the venue and location! There isn't much soundproof between floors, so you can hear the people above you walking around, coughing, etc. - that's the only reason we might not consider this rental again.

Perfect beach getaway!

The property was just as advertised - beautifully decorated with lots of extras! The location on the 2nd floor was perfect to see the ocean! The extras in the unit were fantastic - everything looked brand new from the pots/pans to the furniture! Everything is well maintained! Our view was spectacular as we were able to overlook the shared areas of the cookout area, grass area, pool, walkways to the beach and the beach itself! Unit also included access to wifi and to washers/dryers downstairs for the entire building. It was a wonderful getaway and we would love to return in the future! Thank you for this last minute rental opportunity! =)

The bed cover was Sandy. The drain in the shower was clogged. There was mold in the shower. There were cameras or motion detectors in both rooms. There was dog poop at the bottom of the steps for 3 days. When we called about the shower, the response was “yeah that happens at the end of the season.” This response was not professional nor acceptable. I would not recommend this property or this realtor.
