We loved the deck view especially, but there is a lot of traffic, seen and heard from that deck, which didn't bother us.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We just spent a wonderful week with friends in this house. It provided plenty of space for 7 adults with lots of room to spare!! Very clean, nicely updated, wonderful game room and outdoor pool area. The patio sliding glass door out to the pool could probably be repaired or replaced (it's a tough slider) and we would recommend renting a golf cart -- if only for assistance to/from the beach (although it is also a fun way to get around town). The walk to the beach is not a far (maybe 200 yards to the sand dune), which isn't bad but it is a gravel/stone road and in the heat/humidity by the time you get the to dunes it can be quite exhausting, especially if pulling a cart -- and then there is the hike up and over the sand dune in very soft sand...definitely a workout -- so the golf cart was definitely a plus in transporting us and our belongings to the beach! With that said, we highly recommend this rental and would most definitely rent this house again.

The cool air returns were filthy and needed vacuumed. Trundle bed was unusable. Poor choice for the room it was in to begin with. Trundle could not be pulled out from under bed unless 2 people held the bed up. Mattress cover for trundle had per stains along it like a dog had lifted its leg. That room also appeared to be too small for the trundle. Refreig too small for number of guests. There were 2 refreigerator but one upstairs needs to be bigger. No icemaker in refreigerator either. Carafe coffee maker also needs to be replaced. Only makes 8 cups at a time which equaled 3 cups. It was a pain to pour out of. Needed to pour over the sink. Dunes were difficult to climb especially with beach equipment. I used the cart which was a plus but hard to get it up over the dune.

I was disappointed that there was no boardwalk over the sand dune. The pool area was very nice!The dryer did not work (we discovered this late in the week) and the screen doors kept coming off the tracks.

House and pool were great, beach was awesome!! Downsides, a lot of stairs in house, no fenced in area for dogs to potty, walk to beach was about 2 blocks on gravel, no food delivery other than pizza, and had to drive about half hour away to get to any activities other than shopping.

Our End of Summer trip

We loved the house and the short walk to the beach. Our family had a great time and loved the spacious table. We would definitely go back. It was mostly clean but few negatives the blankets smelled a little off, the baby gate was no where to be found, the grill was filthy and the spiders own the night.

So many cob webs, dust & pet hair from a long period of time. I have never experienced so many spiders in my life...& I’m from the country! We also experienced these mosquito type bugs called “midges” apparently? Which was out of anyone’s control, I understand. But overall, pest control is needed. For the price we paid, the house needs some TLC to give it a more welcoming feel. Also, the latch at the pool was broken. Clearly it has been that way for a while. The house overall is a great home with potential. It’s close to the beach. The pool, hot tub & pool table were lots of fun. The golf cart was so convenient. The rooms & amenities were very accommodating for my family. However, we do not intend to stay here again due to the overall uncleanliness. Rental company was great to work with through the rental process & helping with the “midges” situation. I answered below “no” I would not recommend this house to a friend. If it were cleaned up then yes, I would. I hate that we were dissatisfied as we stayed in this home appx 13 years ago & loved it. It was simply filthy this time. We did not get our money’s worth.

The owner needs to read this...

We just got back this morning from our week stay at the property. I’d like to start off by saying that the house was very nice... good location, enough room for everyone, pool and hot tub were fantastic and clean. Everything the advertisement said was included was provided. We arrived as scheduled and we were able to get into the house around 5:00 pm. The rest of this review isn’t the fault of the owner but the rental company that takes care of this house. The house was filthy... old spider webs on everything, the house was full of flys and little gnat type bugs, and the whole house smelled like weed (we had little kids with us, so that wasn’t cool). It was pretty obvious that the house wasn’t really cleaned before we got there. Again... I’d like to stress that the house was great... unfortunately the company that they have clean this house did a poor job, which was disappointing because the house is really nice. If the owner of the house is reading this, they need to reconsider staying with this company. Once those issues get ironed out, this house would be perfect, and I’d absolutely return to the same property. Outside of having to clean the spider webs and kill bugs inside the house, we had a great trip. This review is more for the owner to know how their home is being managed and hopefully anyone else reading this will consider that when making their choice on renting this place.
